Around 20 kms from Gachibowli ... Is an artificial lake built prior Indian independence ... This place is good for early morning walks or to stroll in the evening ... Sunrise from this point aint so prominent still worth a visit during this particular time ... Not so crowded, thou some might be cycling and jogging!

"Pleasant in the evening"

Himayat Sagar is one of the lakes present in the city of Hyderabad. Previously it is open for public during day and night times now the gates have been closed. Evening times would be the better time to visit to have the pleasant air near lake.

At a distance of 20kms from Hyderabad city lies the beautiful Himayat Sagar Lake. Named after the youngest son of the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad, this reservoir was primarily built to collect and store the excess monsoon rainfall and meet the water requirements of the region.

The beautiful road on the bund of the Himayat Sagar lake makes for an exhilarating driving experience. The grassy banks that embrace the lake make it an ideal picnic spot. You will enjoy the magical combination of crisp clean air, cool gentle breeze and the lush green vegetation.
