"Interesting Place" Posted by Sriram Bangalore May 05, 2011 Thekkady(Periyar) Experience: Very nice destination, Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kathakali, Kalari payattu shows are just mind boggling. Shop for spices at the supermarket. Activities & things to do: Periyar Lake Boating, Chinnarkovil falls, Connemara Tea Factory visit Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The Kerala Forest Department have made a mess of the process of buying tickets to the Periyar Lake boat ride that one has to literally run 300 metres to be assured of a ticket.
