Jaipur Experience: Jaipur is an ever green tourist destination and has enough reasons for it. We started off with the Badi Chowpad area which has City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. All these places are pretty close to each other and can be covered on foot. Then we headed to Amber Fort area on way to which we also saw Jal Mahal. amber fort is indeed one of the best forts that i have seen. Amber fort, Junagarh fort are all close by and are a must watch.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Mainly Veg food is available in the main city area. However the newly developed areas have places for fine dining, non veg food, bars, etc Shopping - Jaipur is famous for the 'Jaipuria Rajai' which is basically a super light wight quilt. Also, the bedsheets, Bangles made of Laah, Sarees are very famous. One should buy from the government shops only to ensure authenticity. One govt. shop is near City Palace area and other is near Amber Fort (Cottage Industry Outlet).
