Corbett Experience: This national park in the district of uttarakhand is the best amongst all other popular national parks in india.My experience in this park had been one of the most memorable tours in my life.Staying in the forest rest houses(govt) is advisable.The resorts(pvt) in the buffer zone is worthless if you actually want to enjoy the magnificent beauty of the forest.The picturesque of the terrain is so diverse and every bit is so enriched by grants from mother nature.Moreover its only possible so stay inside the national park upto 42 kms inside the gate(dhikhala) ,that experience being just wonderful. Jim corbett has 600 species of birds, out of which we were able to spot 39 kinds..wild boars, sambar, barking dear, spotted dears,hog dears, royal bengal tigers,elephants,peacocks , gharials etc are the usually spotted animals there.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Only vegetarian food is available in the Forest rest houses(FRH). We stayed in dikhala ...and the food there was just awesome!!
Activities & things to do: Morning and afternoon safaris and also the elephant safari is advisable.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Nearest station-ramnagar. train from old delhi station (ranikhet express) leaves for ramnagar. Moreover by road it is always accessible but no private car is allowed inside the park gates.
