Munnar Experience: We went to Munnar in early february last year and i must tell you, it was a fabulous experience. The drive to the destination was not too difficult due to maintained roard and once we reached the destination we just loved it. The city and market was not great with issues with local restraunts but the resorts and the sightseeing places were great. One day sightseeing towards matuppaty direction was funpacked. Kids loved the elephant ride and the speed boat ride while tea gardens were lovely and well maintained.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food in the city and market area was a pain. We faced problems on day one but after that we had food at the resort and some time at nearby resorts. Food there was great and no isses. Sightseeing towards Matuppaty was great and advisable over other two directions. shopping was not too great but wooden decoratives and dry fruits were still good.

Activities & things to do: Boat ride at JMatuppaty dam, elephant ride, tea garden.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Best to fly to Cochin and then drive to Munnar. Dont go for local food in the city. Resort food is better. If your stay is tight then avoid other directions but dont miss matuppaty direction.
