"A pleasant stay near arthur lake"

  • 6.0/7

Bhandardara is very nice place to relax from your day to day working culture. Arthur lake view give us a pleasant feeling inside to start your day with a sunny morning. Climate is also very romantic to share some best moments with your love ones.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food quality is overall good at that place. Places to visit is arthur lake view. Evan bhandardara dam is also a great example of excellent construction. Garden nearby the dam & ashram is the calm places to visit.

Activities & things to do: One can not miss the boating in arthur lake. If you are good swimmer then also the lake welcome you in the sunrise. The most attraction for the mountain tracker at bhandardara is Bhimashanker.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: It is prefereble to take your own vehicle to this place which is approx 165 km from mumbai. By local transport take a train to kasara and hire a private taxi or wait for the govt ST bus going to bhandardara and get down at shendi.

"Bhandardara (My second home)"

The destination is idle weekend getaway for people in Mumbai or Nashik. Being just a couple of hours drive away from Mumbai. Main attractions include Waterfalls in monsoon, Ratangad fort and Bhandardara Dam. But my favorite one is bed of wild flowers that appears right after monsoon.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are few resorts which have come up recently. MTDC resort is also there but bookings get full quickly so you have to make bookings 3/4 months in advance for that. Trekking to Ratangad fort nearby is a good activity as it also includes taking a boat ride across the lake.

Activities & things to do: You can trek to Ratangad fort or any waterfall nearby.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Drive your own vehicle. Book in advance as there are far less option available at Bhandardara.
