This is awesome place to visit. It's historical place and having a very place in history of India since Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Pune is a educational hub and cultural capital of Maharashtra. It has many temples and beautiful places to visit in and around 50 km of Pune like Lonavala and Khandala. If one likes to visit forts Pune is ideal place.

"Place for Youngsters"

I will like to state that this place has converted into a city of youngsters as lot of working population is of younger age category. This city has got many good eating and shopping spots. Good places to eat are German Bakery and restaurants on Koregaon park area Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park are nice and upmarket places and should be visited. Take care of the traffic as roads around Airport gets lot of traffic during the evening time. So, avoid going close to the Airport during the peak traffic time nice places to visit are Osho Ashram, Osho park. You can explore this city as I found this city to be relatively safe then other cities.

"Pune one day trip"

It was overall great experience visiting Pune city. The first thing talking about this city was that the airport whih has the tag of international does not look like a executive airport. It looks like a government bus stand, talking about the distance from the city centre it is about 10 to 15 mins. The transport facility in Pune city is quite good and talking about the traffic which is moderate I feel. There are so many happening places to see in Pune and **** your time easily. The railway station of the Pune is also near from the city centre. There are lot of cuisine you can try in Pune which is quite tasty and are in rich in flavours. There are also various malls like phoneix which is must to visit and spend your time, it is the place which attracts the crowd's of youth's. The city also comprises the military establishment, which also becomes the attraction towards the war memorial. The overall stay at the Pune city was amazing the day was spent well. Starting from morning to evening the quality day was kept as a memory in my mind and I will recommend to others also to have a visit to this place.

Nice places in Pune and nearby in general:. Mahabaleshwar. Sinhgarh. Khandala. Sindhudurg. Forts. Shaniwar Wada. Ganesh Temples. Sara's baug. Parvati Hill. Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park. Khadkwasla Dam. Balaji Temple. . Saras Baug Park features a Ganesh temple, dedicated to the elephant's god. Topped by another temple complex and the Peshwa Museum, affords panoramic views of Pune. An 18th-century fortified palace, was once the seat of Maratha Peshwas. The Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum displays a whimsical collection of Indian lamps, puppets, hookah pipes and other arts and crafts. The Darshan Museum tells the story of modern Indian saint and scholar Sadhu Vaswani through multimedia exhibits and a light and sound show. The city also contains a commercial ashram retreat, the OSHO International Meditation Resort.
