When we visited this place, there was full fog and wind. It was scary with bad roads but it was awesome feeling.

"Highest peak in Karnataka - Superb Experience"

  • 7.00/7
  • Posted Oct 29, 2013
The visit to highest peak in Karnataka - Mullayanagiri was fantastic. We drove till appx 1km distance from the hill top. Experienced chilled weather, clouds all around us and also some glimpses from the top of the hill when occasionally for few minutes there was no clouds. Only problem faced was - since it was a public holiday, there were too many vehicles on the narrow, hilly road making the driving very difficult.

I didn't drive up to the peak. I took a 3 Km trek from Sitangiri. It was worth it as the trek was quite scenic. One of the most scenic places in Karnataka and this place is a must visit if you are going to Chikmagalur.
