Sringeri Experience: Sringeri is a very important place for pilgrims and nature lovers. Here temperature in the summer ie in the 1st week may is around 26 Celsius. A very pleasant place. There are no star hotels, but we get accommodation with Sringeri mutt and other local lodges and home stays of low cost. Easily one can adjust for 2 or 3 days. It is a very good and cheap summer destination
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Again you can not expect a/c restorents here. infact there is no need of a/c. All types of south Indian and north Indian food is available very close to the temple. Other than photos, idols of the god, there is not much here to do shopping
Sharadamba temple, Vidyashankara Temple, Sringeri Sharada Peetam, the river Tunga and beautiful fish in that one should not miss
when you cross the bridge on Tunga, you will find a ashram and deer park,
Temples near Sringeri:Horanadu ( 68 Km) Annapoorneshwari Temple, on the way one can visit Kigga (Rishyashringa Temple), and sirimane falls
If you are going to sringeri from udupi(98 km) or from kollru (125 km) we come across Agumbe (Venugopalaswami Temple and Sunset Spot), is the second highest rain fall in the country. We can see the comple Sahyadri range on a clear day
