Nelliyampathy Experience: A quaint Hillstation in Palakkad district that is yet to reach the radar of the majority tourist population. Very beautiful particularly post monsoon. Main attractions are the various steep and imposing cliffs around. The drive through the Ghat road from the base of the mountain to the top itself is an experience to remember with lots of waterfalls dotting the landscape. The weather is pleasant though is is not a place of very high altitude
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Main sightseeing places are - Kesavanpara, Seetharkundu(POABS estate), State orange farm and the forests around. Birds and animal sightings. Nelliyampathy is a birds paradise and also is a hornbill sanctuary.

Activities & things to do: Options of trekking also available, though permission from Forest department is hard to come by.
