Kozhikode (Calicut) Experience: Very green and pollution free the city is also very close to where VASCO landed some 100 years ago.The beaches and restaurants are good.... one could good branded denims near the JAIL ROAD SHOPS at very cheap rates since they are imported from SAUDI.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food is something which one needs to be educated about.... else you would end up having something distasteful and cursing the poor cook and CALICUT which would be illogical
Activities & things to do: There are quite a many nice Denims, friendly people, good food, chips, and THE BEACH .. KAPPAD BEACH near Calicut is just awesome.
