Jaisalmer Experience: This place has limited attractions. two days are enough. the fort and its upkeep are thoroughly disappointing.the dirt around is unbelievable even to an indian.it seems there is no municipality there. the people are helpful and friendly. a laid back experience loved the night spent on the sand dunes.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Trio was a good non veg place. surprisingly good continental food is available.shopping is non existent.The deserted villages of the Paliwals is well worth a visit but there are no guides so it is not much fun. A boat in the lake can be done. but again it seems that the tourism dept. is sleeping. there is no development or beautification.

Activities & things to do: Take a camel ride in the dunes and spend a night there. Must walk on the dunes to realise what a different walk it is.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Train from New Delhi.Carry your own food on the train there is no pantry car on the train. wear loose clothes for the camel ride. don't fight the motion of the camel ,sway with it to be comfortable.Be prepared for muscle pulls if you sit stiffly.
