If you're in Mumbai do not ever forget to visit this sacred, powerful Hindu temple and seek blessings of Lord Ganapati. It is located in Dadar and you will require a good 1 hour approximately to cover this place as there will be queue.

"Peace of Mind Guaranteed"

Yes, After passing my Professional Exam the first person I had to visit was for sure the 'Bapa', 'Vigna Harta' ( You can call him by millions of name). Once you enter the premises of the Temple you get the feeling a if you are at your home itself.
Their are several stalls selling all type of items to be offered to our Favorite God, be it Modak, Garland, Coconut anything.
The whole are is very neat & clean. There is a separate counter for keeping our Shoes.
Then you get into the line to meet Bappa. The line is also well coordinated.
Then you enter into the main area where you can meet Bappa.
The priest over there are also very cooperative and help us in meeting our God in a proper manner.
Yes this place I open throughout the year & it get crowded on Holidays, Ganesh Chaturthi Festival & Every Tuesday.
But whatever be the day you will feel happy after meeting Bappa once. That's for sure.

Siddhivinayak Temple, situated at Prabhadevi, is dedicated to the Lord Ganesha. The temple is known by names like ‘Navasala Pavanara Ganapati’ or ‘Navasacha Ganapati’ among Mumbaikars. Though it was declared sacred on 19th November 1801, it was visited by a large number of devotees only after 1952. People waiting in long queues were seen for the first time in the year 1965 and now devotees have to wait for their turn for hours.

Inside the temple is an idol of Hindu God ‘Ganesha’ that is carved out of a single black stone. It is 2 feet 6 inches high and 2 feet wide, with the trunk on the right. The upper left and right hands of the idol hold an axe and a lotus, respectively. Lower left and right hands hold a bowl full of ‘Modak’ and a rosary (japmala), respectively. Idols of Riddhi and Siddhi Goddesses are placed on either side of the main idol.

Tourists can reach the temple by taking any means of road transport. The nearest station to the temple is the Dadar station from where the station is hardly 10 minutes’ walk away.
