"The beautiful sunset and the scary violent beaches .."

  • Posted 2 months ago
We went to Ahemdabad by flight and travelled overnight to dwarkadhish temple .. The car journey continued to Somnath and then Diu. Overall everything is very beautiful specially the violent sea at Diu and the old fort and the cave garden. You don't need anything special take what you want to wear and an extra pair. Of shorts for the beach and shoes for the cave garden.

"Diu is a small island near Junagadh of the Saurashtra Peninsula of Gujarat spread over an area of 38"

1. Chakratirth Beach, Diu- The best thing about coastal towns is that there are plenty of beaches. Since Daman & Diu are visited less than party capitals like Goa, you’ll find most beaches are less crowded here. Among all these beaches, Chakratirth Beach is the most visited.
2. St. Paul’s Church, Diu- Portuguese churches are world-famous for their breathtaking and detailed architecture and their larger-than-life constructions. This infamous church is one such example of a rich and lively Portugal rule during the 16th century.
3. Diu Fort, Diu- There are so many things to see in and outside the fort that it had to be on this list. In a recent data released by Portuguese, stating the top 7 wonders of Portuguese architecture across the world, the Diu Fort and the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa were on the list. This is a huge achievement and a valid reason for you to visit this masterpiece of a fort.
4. Naida Caves, Diu- These exceptional caves are situated right on the periphery of the Diu Fort.
Naida Caves almost looks like the set of an Indiana Jones movie. It is beautiful, exciting and enchanting; all at the same time. You can see a lot of photographers clicking away some amazing shots here.
With sunlit canyons and square stone blocks, Naida Caves is an ideal exploration spot. Plus, you can definitely get that perfect Instagram shot here. The caves have many pathways within that you can stroll through.

"Definitely a 3 day package."

First thing Diu is a Zero crime rate area. Pollution is less because of less vehicles and more greenery.
Diu fort is a must see and remember to take a guide with you costing 150 to 200 INR other wise you will never understand the grant thing made by Portughese. Will take half a day to roam around fort.
Church is also a must see and the museum with 400 years old wooden sculptures. No visiting charges.
Nagoa beach is similar to Goa beach which is also beautiful with Paragliding facilities.
Gangeshwar temple is a beautiful construction where there are 5 Shivlingas believed to be made by Pandavas and the paculiarity is that these lingas are made such a way that they are always bathed with sea waves. Nadia caves also is a beautiful place to visit. I have stayed in two hotels. One is Hotel The Grand Highness and other is Hotel Apaar. TGH is a new one with very good facities but front office staff can be more warm in greetings. Hotel Apaar has definitely good view to the water front and much more cooperative staff but rooms a little old.
Get you cabs from Bunder chowk infront of hotel Apaar all belong to the same owner so no bargaining. Airport pickup/drop 700 INR which is just 7 km but very cooperating staff. Auto will collect 250 for a pickup from airport again no bargaining available(not much available). For sight seeing for a day 1500 INR for a cab.
