Shillong Experience: Hey was wandering around the northernmost part of east India , Shillong ..heard alot of the rock scene in shillong , had a few experiences with a couple of cabbies who did play some rock music but heck mostly was some pop going on around.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Some travelers recommended laitumukhrah to hang arnd , stayed at yalana , nice but bit steeply priced for this accommodation which i could get for half the price i paid.opp was couple of cafes , munchies -awesome chilled out place to listen to loud rock music, very cheap and economical on the pocket too...nice food , would recommend the burger and the spaghetti ...also went to shillong cafe ...holly molly was bloody hell expensive , butt i guess for the interiors it was intended...dont go to the big bada bazaar ...too crowded for crap clothes an food ....get outdoors for that what is shillong is known for ....boom.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Avoid bada bazaar ....stay in Laitumukhrah....get there via a sumo / jeep from Guwahati ..takes arnd 4 hrs.
