This is indeed one of the best spots in Goa to watch the sunset. You can alternatively go to Chapora Fort which is close by. But if you don't wanna climb and need peace this is the spot to be. You can take a dip in the sea while you watch the sun go down at the end of the horizon. Many restaurants offer drinks and food at affordable rates. So make sure to have this on your itinerary. Highly recommended :)

"Best in Goa"

I found this beach best in Goa. This is in north Goa, not much crowded, with clean water. Very nice to spend time with friends or dear ones. Not many restaurants on beach but few with good taste.

"Lovely Serene Beach"

  • 5.5/7
  • Posted May 12, 2017
Vagator Beach is a fairly long beach in North Goa which is not very crowded & is a nice place to spend time at. It is naturally divided into the main Vagator Beach at one end and the smaller Ozran Beach at the other end. There are quite a few rocks around, particularly at the Ozran Beach side, so you need to be careful when in the water. There are plenty of Restaurants & Shacks serving Drinks & Local Food that is Freshly Prepared & Tasty. As with most beaches on the western front, he Sunsets are fantastic to watch as well. A must visit if you are in the area & have not been here before.

About Vagator Beach

voted as clean

Vagator Beach is known for the red-cliffs and two fresh water springs. The beach is segregated into two, the Big Vagator Beach and the Little Vagator or Ozran Beach. Along the beach side, there are various stalls available that sell clothes, soft drinks, snacks and trinkets. It is the northernmost beach of the Bardez Taluka, located opposite to the Chapora River. The best time to visit this beach is between the months of September and March.
