"Valleys and view points"

  • 7.0/7

Kodaikanal - travelled from Bangalore in bus, over night journey. It was a 3 day trip. The place is commercialised and crowded. But the valleys and the viewpoints are worth visiting.
Dolphin Nose View point - it took us around 3 hours to cover this place. We hired a cab from our hotel and reached the place. The point needs to be reached by walking(3. The view point is surrounded by green hilly area, the view point looks like a Dolphin nose from a distance. On the way is another view point in to the valley nearby.
Liril falls - the falls dint had much water as it was in March we visited. It had small amount of water.
View points on the way to Berijam:
Green valley view point(Suicide point) - the lush green valley view. The point is famously known as Suicide point as many would commit suicide here.
Guna codenamed after Jamal - Hassan starrer movie Guna) is one more place which has a viewpoint of the valley on the other side. In front of the caves, are the huge trees with big roots which give a beautiful natural structural sight.
Moir point - has a watch tower and view point to valley.
Pine forest are another attraction.
Silent valley is one more view point that offers mesmerising view of the valley.
Pillar rocks are a group of pillars(4, but we can see only 3 from the view point).
Caps Fly Valley view - this is a viewpoint where if a cap or small cloth or object is thrown down the valley will be thrown up by the wind like a boomerang.
Berijam lake - the lake and the surrounding area is surreal and is very beautiful.
In the city: Coaker's walk - sunrise or sun set time. Gives spectacular view of the city around and the valley. Kodai lake - man made lake which has boating. There are cycles available on rent in this area. Bryant park is a botanical garden near the lake known for colorful flower plants.
There are few waterfalls - which makes it worth to visit in rainy season. The place was warm during the day but used to get cold by evening.

"Kodaikanal- Best short weekend Paradise"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted 3 months ago
I had recently visited this place with my friend during December. Friends I have seen some of the best natural beauty with mesmerizing weather. The place have countless sites to visit but popular among them are Pillar rock view, Moir point, Guana caves, pine tree view and kodai lake. As compared with other hill station this places has less cost for food, site visit tickets & no parking fee anywhere. Home made chocolate draws a large attention apart from natural sites. I must recommend to all my viewers to have a visit here. 2-3 days is enough to lookout all the nearby places.

The packages available at your website is very costly 5000-6000 is more than enough for each person to stay3days in Kodaikanal including transport, accommodation, food and sight seeing .. 2000 is very costly for Kodaikanal 3days trip so don't make advertisement as packages at low price

"A place to hangout from busy schedules"

  • 5.0/7

1St of all I'll start with travel. If you choose public bus to travel you should reach vattalagundu before 8:20 because the last bus will leave by 8:30 and after that you need pay 1300 rs for taxi. And the food is bit costlier in diagonal. But if you choose local restaurants it will be pocket friendly. There is one shop named radha mess located in law ghat road they will serve you hot snacks with good taste. I've ate snacks from several shops. But radha mess is far better in taste and price. And don't trust the local guides offering sightseeing for low cost. Approach directly any travels office and they will provide you full day trip for two at a cost of 400 rs and they will pick you up from the hotel. If you are travelling by own car or bike make sure that all the papers are up to date and there will be regular police checking in ghat roads.

"Beautiful hill station."

With mesmerizing tree clad peaks. Weather is good and so is the hospitality of the people from this place. Boating and the various view points are the main attractions. Don't miss the cycling around the lake.
