"Visit for the Lakes and rich Heritage"

If you are planning to visit a place where you can see the glory of the heritage and natural beauty then Udaipur is waiting for you.

I visited there at the end of the year 2017 and had a good time. City is beautiful and anyone can be mesmerized by the view of Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake. The city was founded by the Udai Singh II and truly reflects the Rajasthani tradition and culture.

The traditional dance show is performed at "Bagore Ki Haveli" every evening from 7 pm to 8 pm includes the various dance forms in Rajasthan. It is a must watch show and will fill you with joy and energy.

Pichola lake is beautiful and is best at the time of sunset, restaurants nearby lake are the best places to enjoy food with natural beauty. Ras Leela restaurant is the good one to try for the food and drinks. Other sites are City Palace and Jagdish temple are within walking distance.

Last but not the least camel riding is full of adventure near the Fateh Sagar Lake and snacks can be tried at Chaupati.

"Visit if you like Lakes and Rajputana Architecture!"

  • 4.5/7

It was the good experience to have been in Udaipur. I visited with my family for the purpose of adventure and explore the Rajasthani culture and tradition.

The city is all about the lakes and was founded by Udai Singh II. It was the good experience to explore the Rajasthani culture by visiting the dance show used to organize every evening at "Bagore Ki Haveli" where different forms of the traditional dances were shown to us.

Anyone can be easily mesmerized by the beautiful view of Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake especially at the time of sunset. Having a boat ride on Fateh Sagar is a good adventure and camel ride on the back side of the lake reminds for the traditional enriched culture of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is also known for its Food and hospitality. We opted for the Ras Leela Restaurant for the dinner and the view of Lake Pichola is beautiful from there. Jagdish Palace and Taj Palace are the two island those are situated in the beautiful Pichola lake and can be viewed or visited via boats.

I hope you guys have a pleasant stay at Udaipur :)

"The Amazing Udaipur (Heaven of Rajasthan)"

  • Posted Oct 30, 2017
#GoKerala ??
I am Rahul Joshi and sharing my last destination experience,
No doubt It's called one of the most romantic and ravishing cities in the country, Udaipur means the ultimate royal charm. Also claims to be heaven of Rajasthan and on this context I completely agreed, this is a city of lakes, traditions, culture and handicrafts. It is a delight and a travelerís discovery. It's on the lap of hills and valleys, I make sure, If you planing to visit there, Udaipur is gonna make you fall in love with it. The lakes the Palace and views are breathtaking. If I write in one line, this is the city where you can find everything at it's best, natural resources, sophisticated people, aroma of food everywhere, education-business everything bring it at one of the brightest cities of Rajasthan.
Highlights of Udaipur:
My Activities and the Places I recommend to Visit:
City Palace: Revelling in royalty! City palace in Udaipur. Great maintenance, takes a minimum of 3 hours to just have a cursory glance at the sprawling palace and the artefacts. Such class, such dignity and such values. The splendid City Palace, posing over the fascinating Lake Pichola, is one of the most beautiful palatial structures and the largest palace of Rajasthan. This palace has been divided into two parts one for visitors and other is been converted into a hotel. Guide described me the historical background of the place, that only glad to hear from them, Photos are attached
Lake Pichola: One of the Most Luxrious Place of Udaipur, Eye catching for all Visitors, To add on the boat ride around the tranquil waters of Lake Pichola was serene. The area is drowned in much hustle and bustle as I cruised around seeing some of beautiful structures, the calm waters of the lake and the surrounding mountains make for a picture for a postcard, with the sun setting amidst all this was a picture perfect moment. I Spent a lot time there, boating and Clicking Photos, Lake Pichola and Lake Fatehsagar are both visual treats to all. The properties around the lake is very picturesque,
Doodh Talai Lake: this is a cutest small pound adjacent to Lake pichola, very soothing and time spending place, the view is very wide but consuming very less space, I did horse riding there and had evening tea of mine, three photos are attached.
Jagmandir Island Palace, The very Peaceful Atmosphere and We can Spend Quality Time here, I felt soothing effect Sitting here for Sometime, The Air Made me realize Spirituality, which is right in between the serene waters of Lake Pichola is a historic 17th century palace redeveloped as a complete destination as mentioned on the board.
Mansoon Palace, Go there If you have enough time to observe the ancient monument of the history, It took a lot time because I did not hire any guide and asked this place from localities, Perched on a high summit of Banasdara mountain of Aravalli hill range, just like a bejeweled tiara stands the glorious Sajjangarh fort. It is a white marble palace. This place was an astronomical center and also a holiday home and hunting lodge to royal family. This palace gives astounding and charismatic view of the city.
The Lake Palace : As per my experience this is one of the luxurious place of Udaipur, It is one of the Places in Udaipur located on the Jag Niwas Island and covers the middle of the Pichola Lake. I found The Lake palace has built in very ancient time. The Lake Palace is one of the most beautiful places in the world, arising out of the Turquoise Waters of the Pichola like an elegant fantasy in white marble. MUST GO PLACE IF YOU ARE IN Udaipur! (Photos attached)
Fateh Sagar Lake, It gave me slight look of Mini Mumbai While walking on the footpath of Fateh Sagar, It was amazing experience to walk on side of Fateh Sagar, In the evening this place becomes bit crowdy but more fascinating, the lighting and street food grab your attention Which I liked the most Was "COLD COFEE" and when the cloud gets more darker in evening, you get more fascinated with this place, I am telling you as I did not want to return from there till late night The pride of the City of Lakes, this lake was constructed towards the north of Lake Pichola. Localities told me It was built by Maharana Jai Singh but it got the name of Fateh Singh who rebuilt its dam. Fateh Sagar, the second of Places in Udaipurís four man-made lakes.
Havelis and Rooftop Restaurants, Make it a point to have one dinner at roof top restaurant by the lake. Our pick was Upre at Lake Pichola Hotel, also my recommendation for a lovely dinner with the best views and service. Photos are attached of morning and evening time both.
UPRE. Royal and Budget stays, Oh! What a place, worth spending of your hard earn money, the way they welcome and greet that's amazing, I must say this is one of best place I have ever visited in my past journey of any place, I went there at 11:20, service was very quick and food was really delicious, there are variety of cuisines available as most of the foreigners come here to live during their days of Udaipur, All the Lake view facing Havelis are absolutely gorgeous, maintained and offer a royal experience at steal-worthy rates. My personal favorite is Lake Pichola Hotel, which was an absolutely beautiful. Loved it! My Photos are attached While My Visit of Evening and Morning Both.
(NOTE: It is closed between 3pm to 7pm No food facility during this time)
Saheliyon-ki-Bari: one of the most beautiful and popular destinations of Udaipur is located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. The Garden of the Maids of Honour was designed as a peaceful retreat outside the old city of Udaipur. The garden is well known for its lush green lawns, Outside this courtyard are fountains, pools, lawns, flowers and trees. Many of the fountains present here are made of cast iron. Apart from scenic beauty the garden also possesses a museum, of which the main attraction are some stuffed cobras. The one who loves greenery must visit here and can take a lot of photos among many plants and trees.
Lake Badi: It was the fresh morning experience of an artificial water lake of Badi. The lake is built in the village of Badi, this place is situated outskirt of Udaipur about 12 km from the city by Maharana Raj Singh I (1652-1680) to counteract the devastating effects of a famine. Devoid of any commercial activity, the Badi Lake gives a view of a befriending expanse providing a serene and calm atmosphere to the visitor.
Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary : this place is bit adventurous, Number of Wild animals are kept, Entry fee is nominal too. So It was raining when I reached at Sajjangarh therefore went well but Here I advise Visitors not to go during morning time, because it will be hot enough to walk and watch out the place, found many school kids came for an educational tour here. Many nicely maintained by the authorities and the excellent nature view inside will not leave you without exploring inside ...
Some Places where you can go for walk and explore the Market and the emerging side of Udaipur :
Cannaught Place, Celebration mall, are some of the Good examples for Brand Shopping and Night Life examples, It Gives touch to a Big city. (Photos are attached)
Some Inner Part of City which is bit narrow but full of Shopping, Fabrics, colors, antiques, clothes, shoes and souvenirs, Udaipur has them all. Moving from one street to another, you can easily spend more than a day shopping. Make sure you visit Hathi Pol and Bada Bazaar for great deals.
Art and Culture, I absolutely loved walking around in Udaipur. Not only is it picturesque and offers great photographic opportunities, but the streets and walls are multicoloured and filled with art and graffiti. Photo attached Mentioned The Name of "UDAIPUR" (GRAFFITI)
Old Udaipur, With Hanuman Ghat and chandpole just rig ht at your foot. Hathipol market is on walking distance. It has its own charm and a vintage vibe that is unique and unmatched.
Advise to tourist: I would surely suggest people to go Udaipur Once in the life time, and If once it will be not the last one, they are going to love it for sure as per my experienced. The Climate of Udaipur is quite pretty than other cities of Rajasthan. Still Rainy Season is the perfect, Udaipur is blossomed during rainy time
One Must Carry Camera, Binocular, Umbrella, Mineral Water Bottle, Senitizer, Handy Towel, Zipper Pouch and some general medicines to take care health and make the most of the time.
Yes I'd definitely want to go again and experience the Royalty back to back. Coming back Soon .. Udaipur
And Want to #GoKerala @HolidayIQ
Thanks :)
