Dehradun Experience: Dehradun is a small city, it is the capital of Uttarakhand. The city has recently become commercialized but it still has pollution free air. It is located hardly 250km from New Delhi and is well connected by train, bus and air. The nearest airport is JollyGrant, which is 20 km from Dehrdun

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Many places to visit eg Sahastradhara, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, FRI (Forest Research India), Dhanaulti etc. You can try the food at Kumar vegetarian. Quite old but excellent food.

Activities & things to do: Lots of picnic places around Dehradun.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: 6 hours by traing from Delhi, 1 hour by flight from Delhi. May carry some thermals in winters, as it is very cold. Remember, it snowed in Dehradun in late 70s/early 80s.
