"Visit to Yercaud - a hill resort."

Salem Experience: Yercaud is about 25 km -ghat section- from Salem. One could start in the morning, spend the day at the hill station and come back in the evening, besides attending to one's professional work - on other days.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The restaurant at the hotel itself was good and serves the purpose.

Activities & things to do: Nothing special to add.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: One can reach Salem by train / road from Chennai and Bangalore.

Salem Experience: Salem is one of the corporation cities in TAmil Nadu, India, The mini Ooty yercaud is just 30 Km away. The deities should visit atleast once the skanthasram which is just 10 Km from salem.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sri saravana bawan hotel is nice to dine. Salem is well connected with rail and bust. Center between chennai, Madurai and Bangalore.

Activities & things to do: Visit yercuad, Madeswaran hills, Skandasram etc

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Easy access from Madurai, Chennai and Bangalore, Avoid May as it is hottest in salem.

"Last option to stay for Yarcaud"

Salem Experience: The destination is well connected. Yarcaud is just 42 KM from this place. Salem town is very noisy and full of dust with garbage all over.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is not good, better to eat on the highway rather than wasting money in this town. This place is not good for shopping.

Activities & things to do: Yercaud is the only attraction. If you do not find any vacant hotel in Yercaud, Salem becomes your last option for stay.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: You can reach here by car from Bangalore using NH7. The road is very nice. Avoid food. Avoid shopping in Salem. Carry mosquito repellents.

Salem Experience: Place was so good but the room and food was not good

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Not good so costly and but sight-seeing all are very good

Activities & things to do: So good and i am very much satisfied.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Driving was very poor and the driver must know all the place so we are very much helpful.

Salem Experience: Only 200 km from blr 4 hr drive excellent toll road 30 km from hill station yercaud chilly evenings a waterfall nearby trek lot of nursery

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: vegetarian cafe at yercaud and having cardamom tea near view point having freshly cut fruits

Activities & things to do: Small trek to the water fall

Salem Experience: Hotel Selvam opp to central bus stand serves good food at fair prices. Yercaud is nearby and can reach in 40 minutes by govt bus.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Namakkal is nearby.

Activities & things to do: Flowers and Fruits are very costly.
