Sangli Experience: The temple is an old version and has huge campus with approx. 7 more temples around there. The temperatures in surrounding areas were quite hot but the temple is clean and the temple was cozy inside.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was very good and Pai Prakash Hotel. The restaurant is near the main road in Sangli.

Activities & things to do: Other than visiting the Ganesh temple, one may travel to Kolhapur which is just 60 kms away from Hotel Pai Prakash.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Car is a better option to reach Sangli. It is approximately 225 kms from Pune. The interior roads are quite good though lot of pot holes make your journey a little tiring.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: a)In Sangli not to miss Bhadang, bhel to eat, PNG for gold(175 yr old gold jeweler) b)pPaces we visited around: Narsobachi Wadi(dutt devsthan, narsimha sarasvati paaduka sthaan) Bahubali(a jain sthaan on hill)-Jahaj Mandir at the base of the hill were interesting c)Khidrapur-Kopeshwar temple 7th century Hemadpanth Hindu-temple of Lord Shankar. Its superb as large part of original temple structure is still there(a rarity!!! ) in addition to mysterious capabilities of people of ancient times it is a mystery as to whether Khidrapur is in Karnataka or Maharashtra. Google shows it in karnataka.

Activities & things to do: Stopping at farms to eat sugarcane,etc. Eating lots of bhadang, fruits, feeling the energies at spiritual/religious places and at Krishna riverside.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Best to have own vehicle places are nearby from Sangli within say 30-45 km radius roads are good, but public transport may not be convenient,
