Sightseeing in the city of Sangrur includes attractions like the Banasar gardens, Sheesh Mahal, the water tank of Sita Sar and a large number of gurdwaras.
The Banasar Garden is the most popular picnic spot of Sangrur and is situated in the middle of a pond. Its premises also comprise an ancient Diwan Khana, which has now been turned into a museum that showcases weapons and artefacts of princely times. The Sheesh Mahal which has incorporated mirrors and crystals in its construction, is situated in the forest regions near Sangrur. Sangrur is also home to a water tank named Sita Sar, a popular location among birdwatchers. It is also adjacent to the temple of Sheetla Mata.
Sangrur is also a land of gurdwaras, as it has over 30 gurdwaras situated at short intervals around the place. The town of Malerkotla, situated near Sangrur, is also a popular attraction in the place. This is a Muslim town, which is home to the popular Jama Masjid, along with several ancient buildings that belong to the period of princely states.
