Sawai Madhopur Experience: Sawaimadhopur is an important Rly. Stn. on Mumbai-Delhi, Mumbai-Jaipur routes. It is the nearest Rly.Stn to reach Ranthambore National Park.The entire route from Rly. Stn to N P is dotted with Hotels, budge tones and luxurious too. RTDC has 2 hotels. Hotel Vinayak also has swiss tents accommodation during the season from Oct. to Mar.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are no restaurants nearby and you have to depend on the hotel for your food. Usually the food is good, north-indian style and so spicy.For sight seeing you have to take park safari either by Gypsy or Canters, You can visit Ranthambore Fort, and Shri Ganesh temple, about 20 Mins. of up-hill climb.

Activities & things to do: Tourists come here for park safaris and there are not much activities here. Usually hotels have a shop for handicrafts items etc.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: For Mumbaikars, Jaipur superfast express is ideal for journey to Sawaimadhopur. Leaving Mumbai at 6-50 p.m and reaching the next day at 10-30 a.m.

Sawai Madhopur Experience: It is on the way from Delhi to Mumbai. Easy to reach. Hotels are very reasonables. only wildlife sanctuary is to see.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is average, nothing to shopping sight seeing is only visit to Jungle

Activities & things to do: visit to Jungle. Heard that only Route number 4 is important other route are just to visit.nothing special

Sawai Madhopur Experience: Wild life sanctuary .. famous for tiger & other big mammels like deer, samber, crocodile, & various indian birds...

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: only wild life safari.. both veg & non veg foods are available.. having all range of hotels to stay..

Activities & things to do: Wild life safari in morning & afternoon is the main attraction in the park where you can travel in open jeep & canter in side the forest. necessary permission & advance booking of safari is recommended. Your travel agent or Hotel guys can help you on this... The safari in open jeep is always in high demand & must be booked well in advance. No outside vehicles are allowed inside the park.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: i travelled from Gurgaon on 19th night by car via NH8 to Jaipur, then to dausa via NH11 & from dausa to lalsot via NH11A. The road is pathetic & horrible fromJaipur to lalsot via dausa. Don't ever think of travel on this route... from lalsot to Swai Madhopur to Ranthambore is much better. while my return journey, I took different route from lalsot to Kothun and to Jaipur via Chaksu on NH12... This part of route is much better & recommended to travel via this road from Jaipur to Swai Madhopur... Weather is cold during winter & sufficient warm cloths are required during safari...
