Shankarpur Experience: Its a lonely beach destination for the people of Kolkata. Incase you want to get away from the husty busty life and have a peaceful weekend with the sea breeze kissiing your face and lonely beach, you have got yourself a deal. Just trow some clothes in the bag and head out to Shankarpur. The best hotel in the area is Nest. Please book in advance. If you are going there by train get down at Rampur Station or you would have to come back ward from Digh Station. If you are travelling in bus just ask the guy to drop you in Shankarpur. If you are staying at NEST there will give you the Pick up and Drop serive from the station or Bus Stop.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is nothing for Sight Seeing. Its basiacally a place to chill. You can grab a bottle and spend the entire day chatting away to glory with friends or can spend some quality time with that special person. The beach is really good and most importantly clean.

Activities & things to do: This not a place for water sports and activities. Infact just lie on beach and gaze at the sky once the sun starts setting. However if you are too keen on water sports you would have to drive around 10 kilometers to Mandarmani. The Rosevalley Resort does provide a range of water sports to choose from.

Shankarpur Experience: I was nice and pleasant place in the heart of shankarpur. The melodious wave of water make me happy. I just love it like.

Shankarpur Experience: Very well. No gathering. neat & clean. no disturbance. The Sea Beach is very nice.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was good The attraction of the site is The NEST itself.

Shankarpur Experience: Very good road thru the village. Good fisherman's village. Locals are very good. Sea beach is good.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Get good sea food Sandey Bey is the good restaurant and good food they served.

Shankarpur Experience: Though a lovely place before, the beaches have worn down which has led to the deteoriation of the place

Shankarpur Experience: Shankarpur is a fantastic place to enjoy holidays. The sea beach is awesome and perfect for a weekend trip.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Hotel Nest is a very good hotel to stay at Shankarpur.

Activities & things to do: Sitting in the sea beach and chatting with loved ones, having delicious foods and drink

Shankarpur Experience: Great place to visit if you are looking to go to a sea beach. Great location with great beach where you have the peace. If you wanna spend some time with your loved one then its one of the places to come coz you will not find cheap crowds on the beach. You will have complete peace of mind.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was good. Specially the veg stuff. I am a veggie so did not try any non veg stuff. Sight seeing was good. Lovely beach and lovely facilities by the hotel. Could not do much shopping as its a remote place and you only get some sea side shopping not much.

Activities & things to do: Loads for those who love sea sports and sea adventures.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Best is if you take a train from Howrah, or else you can take a AC bus which takes about 4 hrs to reach.

Shankarpur Experience: Sankarpur is famous about sea beach. sunset of sankarpur are extremely marvelous. Seabeach are also very beauiful and clean.

Shankarpur Experience: The destination is good for 2 to 3 nights stay . Those who like calm and quite place to stay on , must choose shankarpur .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food quality is quite good in the hotel and the price is also very much reasonable . But as far as the sight seeing or shopping is concern , it's not get too much marking. The nearest location for the sight seeing is Tajpur Beach and mandarmani. which is quite far from Sankarpur .

Activities & things to do: The only things to do in sankarpur is to take rest and take the fresh air .

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Someone can go by train to Digha and book a private car from Digha to sankarpur.Otherwise, by bus, one has to drop at Chaul-khola and take a sharing Tracker to go to Sankarpur. From Digha, it will take half an hour by Private car .

Shankarpur Experience: Away from the rush of Digha a nice little village area to take a long fresh breath and have some quite look at the sea.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Fresh sea fist to eat and no shopping

Activities & things to do: Nothing to do-have a lazy walk on the mud road at the side of the sea.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take a car and after a 4 hours drive from Kolkata with a tea break in Kolaghat you will reach Shankarpur.

Shankarpur Experience: Its a place very near to Kolkata, on the coastal line of West Bengal, where you can enjoy unadulterated sea, sun, beach, forest. Shankarpur has a very wide hard beach, and sea is blue here with Cristal clear water. Previously, it was a fishing port. Now a days fish trawlers head direct to Digha, where they get the whole sale fish market.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are few hotels. Among them Nest is the best. Other than that there is sandy Bay, Hotel Ashoka who offer good food. Shankarpur does not have a organised market for the shopping crazy people. Even there is no lighting arrangement in the beach...so in the evening you cannot venture out.

Activities & things to do: Sea bathing, Walking on the beach

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Its better to go by train, get down at Ramnagar, take a car or motorized van to reach Shankarpur. Or go by buses to Digha, get down at 'choddo mile'. From there take motorized vans to reach the spot.

Shankarpur Experience: It is a virgin beach around 18 km from Digha on the Kolkata Digha route.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The only sight seeing is the beach at Shankarpur and the auction of the fish at the beach.
