Shillong Experience: The place is good, peaceful, cherrapunji is better to be visited between august and 15 sept. shillong peak is another good spot

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Local food at police bazaar, sightseeing will take at least two days, one day for cherapunji and the other for the shillong town.

Activities & things to do: Also try to visit mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Don�t forget to bring or get an umbrella, thin-sweater, flexible shoes for climbing the stairs

Shillong Experience: I have visited shillong in the month of november last year. It was proved to be a nice trip. The place has very good scenic landscapes to visit. But the Hotel we stayed was not upto the mark. I would not suggest anyone to stay at Mi-Casa Hotel, Police Bazaar, Shillong. The market offers a vast variety of indigenious wooden items but at a slightly higher costs.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are very few restaurants where u can find north indian food, Market is bit costly but offers good wooden items as souveniers.

Activities & things to do: No such places to do some activities.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Delhi-Guwahati Rajdhani/ Flight and then Hire a cab to shillong. It takes 3 hours from guwahati to reach shillong. Do visit Wards Lake, Bada Paani ( A very Huge Lake), Elephanta Falls, Shillong view point, Cherapunji etc.

Shillong Experience: Shillong is a hill station, located north east of india in which state mowshinrom, chirapunji, highest rainfall stations, suggested to visit august to December months for trecking lovers it is very very enjoyable.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is one Madras Cafe near Shillong Central for south Indian Food. Most of the Hotels will cook with Mustard/Other oils. There is shopping centre near Meghalaya Tourism Information Centre, in Shillong Center (Place)

Activities & things to do: People are very soft. There is one Pawan Hans Helicaptor shuttle service from Shillong to Guwahati and Guwahati to Shilling Rs.1500/- per Pax one way. We shall enjoy the chopper service. (Guwahati to Shillong one way suggestable)

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: there are many things to watch the nature. there are many taxi services available (may be bargain)

"Shillong Trip"

Shillong Experience: Shillong, the capital of Meghalay, Scotland of East; is a beautiful place. Serene, quiet, full of natural beauty. Enjoyed Shillong, Cherapunjee & Malin Nong- the cleanest village of India.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Variety & quality of woolen clothes was amazing in Shillong. We purchased 2 woolen garments for 3 persons. All types of food was available in Shillong. Being vegetarian, we enjoyed all the vegetarian food varieties at Shillong.

Activities & things to do: Visit Cherapunjee, Malin-Nog, Mosin- gram

"Visit Shillong"

Shillong Experience: Shillong is scenic tourist station. The weather is excellent during summers and very cold in winters. People out here are simple. Nice places to visit.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Shillong Peak, Waterfalls, Lake, Cherrapunji.

Activities & things to do: Visit sight seeing places during day and in the evening just loitre around in Police Bazar.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Reserved Taxi from Guwahati Airport takes Rs 2000/- and Rs 2500/- for A/C.

Shillong Experience: Nature's beauty is present in the Hill region, which is connected well with railways and air travel.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Loal food is enjoyable, other India varieties are also available at selected locations.

Activities & things to do: Travel through lofty mountains is an enjoyable experience. Moulong The Cleanest Village of Asia, is an encouraging sight to spread the habit of keeping our surounding clean and beautify the mother earth.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: By Air/Rail from Guwahathi, Chartered and shared private travel as well as State run transport for more economic convenience.

"the abode of cloud"

Shillong Experience: a pleasant hill station. Though little bit crowded today, the hill station is having its own charm till now. the don bosco museum, shillong peak etc are good attractions.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Momo Bamboo SHoots, hotels in policebazar. barapani lake, elephant falls

Activities & things to do: walking will help u in reaching destination earlier

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: from guwahati it is 4 hrs by tata sumo. fare is Rs 150 per head. available from 8 AM - 5PM

Shillong Experience: Awesome place where nature rules with its beautiful treatments my favorite Strawberry is available out there.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Police bazar was my shopping destiny and the polo ground was great to see

Activities & things to do: parachute adventure, site seeing, water rafting and many more

Shillong Experience: Shilong, Its a beautiful place. I felt so relaxed after the visit. Weather was too good. I enjoyed a lot with my buddies. First time I entered in to a church over there and it was a nice experiance for me. So many parks were there to hang out in the eve. Overall 10 on 10.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was good. All type of foods are available. Shilong peak, elephant falls then air force meuseum It was awesome. For shopping this is not the proper place. Rate was so high as its a tourist place. But in mall its was bit good.

Activities & things to do: enjoy the weather and elephant falls must see

"Bests of northeast india"

Shillong Experience: I loved the city and the sorrounding and the sights within the city its a small and nice place to hang out for couple of nights. Few nights can give u enough time to explore some of the outer sights of shillong. Great landscapes and scenery.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food option is quite limited although they do have some fine restaurants in main city area but still limited numbers. But the food still alright both veg. And non.veg.don bosco museum was one of the highlight of shillong. Great place to know more about culture, people and dresses etc.there r few churches and lake and a garden nice place to relax. its not big foreign tourist destination so didnt find much option for shopping.

Activities & things to do: There are few places near shillong can be cover as day trips from here we visited cherrapunji had few caves and garden etc nice place for a day trip also can be walked few hours to see root bridges a must visited place in this area.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: You can fly from delhi or u can go via guwahati which is very near fm shillong and have more cheaper flight from delhi. From guwahati to shillong can be reached by local buses or shared jeeps. Pricate taxis can be quite expensive in north east india.

Shillong Experience: The overall experience was fine. The people were co-operating and friendly.

Shillong Experience: My one of the place Shillong. Most memorable place is House of Rabindra nath Thakur, Eliphanta Falls etc. Charapunji also memorable. And shopping woolen sweater, plastic flower etc

Shillong Experience: Nothing much attractive yes nature is their but compare to other hill station its disappointing

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is horrible may be because of diffrent prprationa and diffrent type of oilans shoping is costly u have to pay more than a brand on a cheep thing

Activities & things to do: No major activities were their Just go rome here and their nothin entertaing for a youth rather to go to shilong go some other place other hill stations

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Guwahati airport to paltan bazzar will cost u 150 per person paltan bazzar to shilong this will cost u 300 rs per person

Shillong Experience: Its common as other hill station other hill station have better sight seeing and attractions

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Shopping is too costly the thing s I can have [Branded] in my city were not their local and cheep items

"Shillong a beautiful place"

Shillong Experience: Shillong is the most memorable experience of the holiday that I had in the northeast a remarkable place of beauty with beautiful waterfalls and amazing people who are so hospitable and friendly. This should be on the itinerary of every traveler. The warmth of the people would drive the cold away.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sightseeing : waterfalls are one of the best attractions of the place Restaurants: the cuisine is unique and also a wide variety of dishes are served in various restaurants in the main bazar Shopping: I would say is an absolute delight , a wide variety of woolen products are on display and quiet affordable too, nothing can be taken away from the shopping malls which offer all branded stuff for a discounted price(thankfully many brands were offering discounts during my trip).

Activities & things to do: Waterfalls are amazing and there are quiet a few of them . One can just book a tour with the government tourism services for the amazing scenery or one can simply hail a cab for less than a thousand rupees at one's own comfort.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The road to shillong is under repair so just make sure to travel in a good well conditioned vehicle. If u are traveling from guahati use network buses which are available in plenty.

Shillong Experience: One of the best tourist destination in north east. U will find worlds wettest place here, asia's cleanest village, only living root bridge, which is called scotland of east.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Khasi cousins, chinese cousins to choose from variety of foods. Amongst restaurants u will find lots of joints and hotels, cafes. To name some city hut dhaba, MOT, shillong cafe. For shopping police bazar is best place.

Shillong Experience: Nicely located hill city. Roads are narrow. It is very cold during nights in Jan..

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Shillong peak, Water falls are near by. Ride to reach these places will be very nice.

Activities & things to do: Hav'nt tried any

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Can reach to Shillong by road in 4-5 hours from Guwahati. Road works are on from Shillong to Guwahati this may take longer..

Shillong Experience: The most beautiful hilly station I had ever visited. Beautiful People, Beautiful Climate & Hospitality.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Mainly Cherrapunji, Noh-Kalikai Falls, Motrop, Elephant falls, barapani, RamKrishna Mission Food are good.Shopping at Police bazar.

Activities & things to do: Sightseeing, shopping

Shillong Experience: The Shillong is very Nice and Cool place for vacation .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Center Point is very nice restaurant, Cherapunji is very near to Shillong .Nice waterfall to see there.Lot of thing there for visit .

Activities & things to do: Mountain and waterfall ,Real Natural feeling.

Shillong Experience: The destination is good with good weather but during rainy season difficult to go out due to heavy rain.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Cherapunjee, clean village one can enjoy.
