Shimla Experience: Shimla is just ok but places near Shimla like Chali, Kufri, Kasauli are very good.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is not much or special in Shimla for shopping.

Shimla Experience: Ridge is the epitome of peaceful ambience that greets the visitiors and from where one can get ready to experience and savour the beauty, the sights and sounds of Shimla.Dwelling on a panoramic location, the hilly town is surrounded by green pastures and snow-capped peaks. The spectacular cool hills accompanied by the structures made during the colonial era create an aura, which is very different from other hill stations.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Lakkar Bazaar, a shopping place famous for its wooden handicrafts in Shimla. It is a market place situated adjoining the Ridge in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The bazaar’s wooden toys, walking sticks and Tibetan carpet are very famous. The wooden toys are made by a small group of Sikh carpenters who settled here a century ago from Hoshiarpur. There is also a roller skating rink here. Shimla is known as the Queen of Hill stations in India.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Naldehra is located at a distance of around 22 kilometers from Shimla, Naldehra is one of the best and the oldest golf courses in India. Lord Curzon laid the foundation of this golf course in the year 1903, during the colonial rule in India. It is said that he was so mesmerized by the natural beauty of this place that he named his daughter 'Naldera' after this place! Considered as one of the most challenging golf courses in the country, this is a par 68, nine-hole golf course.

Shimla Experience: Shimla is a beautiful place on the earth for me. This trip i planned with my friends and we enjoyed fulltoo.We spent more of the time on Mall road and Ridge .These two places are great.

Shimla Experience: Fantastic place, very picturesque. Plenty of landscapes, an ideal place for a holiday.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is actually fair, could be outstanding if you know the right places. Generally, resorts have a common menu - not something specific to Shimla. If you got to market, you can try out momos which happened to be the best dish we had there. Shimla market is quite astounding. Hattu Mata temple and Kufri are the highlights.

Activities & things to do: Horse riding in Kufri, Bus ride to the Shimla market, Toy train ride to Kalka.

Shimla Experience: A Very good time (July 19TH TO 25TH) to visit Shimla. enjoyed the trip at its best.

Activities & things to do: Always carry lunch along while travelling because you can never be sure if you get food there.

Shimla Experience: Shimla is lovely place. Roaming around mall road in evening is best. Kufri is near by Shimla. But nothing to see in summer. Its ski point in winter

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are many restaurants in and around Shimla. Lakkar bazaar is famous for shopping. Kufri and Naldehra golf course can be covered durning Shimla visit.

Shimla Experience: Although we visited Shimla during peak summer (1st week June 2011), weather was pleasant, infact in the evenings it rained on the days we were staying there, making it cool & comfortable.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food at our resort was yummy, on the mall road also you have many options right from pizza to South-Indian food, you are plenty of choice. Must visit is Kufri where you have to travel on horses in last part, its enjoyable.

Shimla Experience: Shimla is very nice centre for relaxation.....when only two or three members, local cab are to expensive for even in market, Required local auto rickshaw for short distance say bus stand/rly. Station to hotel/market/short distance place..

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: As have no local vehicle available for hotel to market to hotel, required auto or mini vehicle for little bit distance.

Activities & things to do: As we were only three members of family have no other activities

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: To reach Shimla is very convenient from Chandigarh, throughout services of buses are available. Journey in toy train is very pleasure journey,,,we have traveled from Shimla to Kalka and Kalka to Delhi by Shatabdi.

Shimla Experience: Good to see the big statue of Hanuman in Jakkhu Temple which is on the highest peak of Shimla.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Hotel Bright Land is nice to stay.

Activities & things to do: Tatta Pani Visit was very good, it was on the Bank of River Satluj.

Shimla Experience: Shimla is a beautiful place for all tourist.near many hill stations.i like Manali very much.Kufri,Naldeovra.Chail,Narkanda,Mashobara,Taradevi temple is also near sight seeing place.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Best pure vegetarian restaurent nalini's in front of samrat regency hotel.mall road walking and ridge and lakkar bazar also beautiful.for shopping very bargening here. Indian kafe house best South Indian restaurent.

Shimla Experience: Shimla is a great location to visit in India. Connected very well through road and rail, it is a lovely drive from Delhi or Chandigarh. Great place to visit for a honeymoon or a getaway with family. Visit during December/January if you wish to see snowfall or during summers if you want to get away from the summer heat. Offers variety of hotels across all range of budgets. A must visit for every traveler.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Kufri - Horse ride and sight seeing Naldera - great place to have a picnic with family, has a golf course Jakku - a bit of spirituality thrown into your vacation. A hike via road to the top of the mountain Lakkar Bazaar - shopping Mall - Shopping for lifestyle and more Christ Church - Serene and peaceful place to pray to the almighty Advance Studies - you should not miss this place. If you love architecture, you will love the place, great during sunsets but shuts entry at 5PM

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Preferable mode of transport - Hire a car from Chandigarh - self driven Taxis are expensive. You will spend more on travels within the city if you dont have a self driven vehicle as places are far off. While travelling on a horse, be ware that the saddle is well tied. Shopping prices are very fixed however you can pay the amount as the people there are honest and helpful. They usually ask what the product is worth unlike other tourist destinations.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The Good food was barely Available specially Vegiterian Food. Only one or two restaurants was good otherwise the Good quality of Food Vegetrian was not easily available.

Activities & things to do: We had a planned itinerary so all the activities and excursions were decided from first, though you can take many activities at the destination itself.

Shimla Experience: Quaint hill town with a long, picturesque mall road. Friendly (and goodlooking!) local people

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The mall road is charming, you can walk down past the old municipal building, the library, and the rows of shops, or take a pony ride. Wait for the sunset as the rose-hued peaks lend it a magical air. As far as food goes, you will find your usual Subways here, but try the cafes attached to the hotels. I liked the desserts at Combemere hotel for instance. Do visit Kufri, which is some distance away and needs to be reached on horseback.

Activities & things to do: Ummm, you can ski and snowboard in Kufri. Head out to Manali and Rohtang Pass for adventure thrills. Oh, and shop for woollens at Kullu

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: About 6-7 hours by car from Delhi. Summer is the best time to visit

Shimla Experience: It has become worst hill station. At Kufri they will charge u for everything. Parking, entering, using wash room and the worst is the horse ride. You hire it for 250 saying that its all yours. But they actually just throw you there where there is nothing. And then leave you to pick up other tourists. You need to wait for them till they arrive. The apple garden has a few trees. Small temple. Yaks to take photos. And they charge like anything No sports (skiing is only when u have snow). Otherwise you ll find only dust and horse shit.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: For food, youll find sher-e-dhaba everywhere. With every owner claiming they are the original one. For sight seeing and shopping, Mall road is good.
