Shimoga Experience: places are very good, like church, sakkare bayalu,zoo, bird sanctuary, jog etc,

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food in sagar very good resonable, sakkare bayalu is the place where the elephants are trained and we can touch elephant & take a snap with elephant. elephant trainers are very cooprative, we can take n number of photographs

Activities & things to do: person visiting to shimoga not mis to visit first church & then sakkere bayalu,jog etc.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: form bangalore/bellary good roads are there, using maps during travlling is advantage to avoid long distance, instead of short cuts, travlling night to this place not adviceable.

Shimoga Experience: shimoga bus stand is very best. hotel reception, rooms, room service, etc. is good.

Shimoga Experience: The place is really good. The Sacred Heart Church is the best attraction in Shimoga And dont miss Gandhi Park.

Shimoga Experience: shimoga is a good place and light on budget. several places like jogfalls, singadoor back water and chowdeshwari temple are places very good to visit. Sakrebalayu (elephant park) was also interesting. But the number of elephants were quite less this time and it was really warm even in December. They shud bath the elephant quite early something like 6:30 am so that when the weather is pleasant

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food is south indian, available at a rate which is same as that of bangalore. little costly. shopping nothing much except i think beatle nuts which are a little cheaper.

Shimoga Experience: Shimoga is beautiful city with minimum of population, very clam city. Cost of leaving is quite good when compared to other cities. We stayed in Royal Orchid which is 5 star hotel in Shimoga, the ambiance was really awesome. Food is very good and you have good place to visit and spend your time with lavishly.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was really delicious and enjoyed various types of food in Royal Orchid and other places in jog falls, sagara and of course in road side. Attractive places was jog, temple between the water (Sagara ). Most shopping we did in sagara and also in near jog.

Activities & things to do: It was nice trekking to jog, Played in water and traveling in boat and many more.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Roads are pretty good as of now. We took about 7 hrs from car. We enjoyed the traveling. And we dint face issue while traveling from car.

Shimoga Experience: Shimoga has many jain religious locations like Humcha, Wadambail, N.R.Pura and also spots like Jog falls and Sagara. Shimoga also has a Tiger reserve and elephant training centre which is good to visit. The cost of stay and food is very economical. 3 days is sufficient to cover almost all close by places.

Shimoga Experience: Shimoga is a nice place for spending time with family for a vacation. You can go to Jog Falls which is 105KM from Shimoga and Siringeri which is 100KM from Shimoga as well.

Shimoga Experience: Can enjoy going around the place and mingling with the localities. 100kms away from Jog falls. Have a lot of religious places to visit.

Shimoga Experience: A fantastic place to visit in the months of november-january.

Activities & things to do: Have a good 2-3 days for this place. No point in coming here for a day and trying to see all the places in a day !!! You need to be able to spend time leisurely.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The road to Sakleshpur is as horrible as it can get. Not exaggerating - you'll need 3 hours to cover the final 25 killometres.

Shimoga Experience: The place shimoga is really a place for tourist with slight rainy, hot made my day very pleasant. My family and children enjoyed the place. Sringeri near to shimoga was really a historical place to watch adorned by mother saraswathi.

Shimoga Experience: I visited Shimoga for a day only. I had some work and had plans for same day return.

Shimoga Experience: shimoga as a destination is extremely bad. there is nothing to see and its pure waste of Money and time. Of course surrounding shimoga there is a zoo if somebody has visited bannerghatta zoo in bangalore or mysore zoo than its a pure waste of time. 12 kms away from shimoga there is a point where tunga and bhadra river meets which looks astonishing and sometime can be spent there.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food is horrible.... sight seeing around shimoga and zoo and tungbhadra river is good. There is nothing for shopping

Shimoga Experience: Main district headquarters of shimoga .Big city but not very developed and one can find waste strewn around on roads,

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Good food is hard to come by and restaurants are expensive.No tourism and sight seeing places are almost absent.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take the bus to shimoga as the hotels are mostly situated around the bus stand vicinity.The railway station is outside city limits and transportation can be a problem.Internet cafe's are hard to come by so prepare for that.

Shimoga Experience: We enjoyed jog falls & sigandur devi temple. it was heavy rain on that day
