Srisailam Experience: Great place to visit. Temple is worth visiting atleast once in life time. Has historical importance. The route is nice with pleasant forest and natural scenaries. Dam is good to see. Ropeway and boating are the other attractions.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food not great. Not many good hotels. Few decent ones Sight seeing good. Shopping not much.

Srisailam Experience: Srisailam is a good temple place to be around. It creates an air of divinity around for sure.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Nothing is available to be honest.

Activities & things to do: There are no activities available in this place too.

Srisailam Experience: A great weekend getaway from hyderabad to enjoy with your family. It is easy to reach, easy on the pocket and fun place to be.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Mallela thirtham enroute is a must visit.

Activities & things to do: bathe at Pathala ganga, & rope way boating, last but not the least - visit to temple and a lot more to have fun on the drive up to the place.

Srisailam Experience: The destination is worth watching, it is a mix of devotional and adventure. Going through the ghat road, amid the forest is a thrilling experience.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: APTDC - Haritha hotel is a good hotel to stay.

Activities & things to do: Many places to visit in around in the forest including srisailam dam

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Travel by road in a private vehcile/car is preferable to enjoy the nature and feel the devotion too!!!

Srisailam Experience: Srisailam is a one of the holiest place, named a 2nd Jyotirlinga among the 12.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Mahanandhi Srisaliam birds view Srisailam dam Patala gange

Activities & things to do: One can visit Matralayam, and maha nandhi and reach srisailam. on the way one can visit ahobalam and yaganti.

Srisailam Experience: Nice location, summers may be too hot but overall very good weekend break.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Dont bother about these,

Activities & things to do: Visit and enjoy the temple and the Boat ride on the Dam

Srisailam Experience: Srisailam is the place of one of the 12 jyothirlingas. Srisailam is very good place to visit. Climate is good .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food in Srisailam is not good. there are few hotels for Food..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Bangalore there are Two APSRTC Super Deluxe bus services to reach Srisailam. The timings of the buses are 17.30 P.M & 18.30 P.M and srisailam at 6.30 A.M. in the morning.

"My Experience at Srisailam"

Srisailam Experience: Srisailam is one of the best places in the south. The greenery and the pleasant weather will attract the visitors. The place is even more amazing in the winter and rainy season. The Srisailam Dam and the Ghat Section awesome and beautiful.The Shiva temple and the forests of the Srisailam are very famous in the South and one of the best tourists place in the South.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The South Indian food is very good and the junk food like Mirchi bajji etc are very yummy. The worth watching spot is the Srisailam Dam esp when the water gates are released during the rainy season. The Shiva Temple was also built many years back, it is filled with old carvings and scriptures. The Forests of the Srisailam are also dense and green.

Activities & things to do: Shiva Darshan, Enjoy South Indian Food and few other temples nearby.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The only mode of transport is by road. The Ghat section is a little risky, one needs to be careful while crossing it. The Ghat section is closed during the nights.

"Beautiful holy place"

Srisailam Experience: It is about 225 km from Hyderabad on hill. The view is very beautiful. The temple is very big and beautiful... very old one. Major drawback is the language. Most of the boards are in Telgu and difficult for travelers to understand

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: You can also see the Patalganga river and the SriSailam Power plant. You get rice and south Indian food on roadside restaurants. Nothing more for shopping

Activities & things to do: Sight seeing and rope way at Patalganga. You can visit nearby places and temples. Walking through the town is also good. You can also travel through the Kardaliban... which is tough.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: On some holy days, there is huge crowd. Advance booking always necessary. There are number of state transport buses from Hyderabad. But you can choose 2 x 2 bus instead of 3 x 2 as 3x2 is very clumsy. Hyderabad to shi shailam takes more than 5 hours. You get reasonable rice and sambar where the state transport bus halts for food.

Srisailam Experience: Very nice place, specially the drive thru the jungle was exiting.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is ok . i could not find north Indian hotels for Naan or Roti. sight -seeing many places are there i liked the temple from where u can view the the total srisailam

Activities & things to do: Nothing much to do

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: U can reach only by road, and don't take the risk of travel thru jungle in the dark.

Srisailam Experience: Provides lots of peace of mind to visit the temple town and to pray to Lord Shiva and His consort Lordess Brahmrambika. More touching experience is that it is allowed to touch the Shiv Linga while praying.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: It is a good experience to travel through ghat roads to reach the town. Should not miss to visit Padala Ganga (natural lake formed between mountains) through rope car.

Activities & things to do: Temple visit is the main. There are lots of shops nearby the temple - however, not ideal to go for a shopping spree.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: There are lots of buses from Hydrabad. As the route passes through forest areas and entry is not allowed after 6 PM, one needs to start in the morning from Hydrabad (at around 9 am). APSRTC arranges two day trip to SriSailam - the trip include accommodation. It is worth going by this.

Srisailam Experience: That's a mythological place, one of the Shiv-ling out of 12 (all over India).

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The restaurant at resort was average, with limited food options.

Activities & things to do: Rope way

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: 6 hrs drive from Hyderabad, caution to be timing since there is a forest cross on the way and that pass gets closed after 7PM.

Srisailam Experience: Srisailam is one the best places to spend a weekend. The scenic beauty is one of the best in state.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is decent. Its a devotional place so don't expect anything classy or spicy. Food is eatable and that's what it matters.

Srisailam Experience: I would like to see Srisailam temple and surrounding places. I heard that it is a very good place.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: I have no idea about any famous restaurants in Srisailem.

Srisailam Experience: We travelled a long distance more than 8 hours and 2 hours in a dark nalamala forest region, it is great devotional place and every hindu devotional person, one should see the lingam not only that the diamond statue of amma bramaramba and lingams establish by the great pandavas and goddess sita and huge nandi and many miracles architecture of temple, this temple was visited by great adi shankara charya, shivaji etc, we can see the yields of both mahabaratha and ramayana. From howrah 4 hrs journey preferably by duronto exp. Be aware of trouts during hotel selection.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food was mainly available was south food and also north tastes tempt us. when coming to sight seeing a it is a huge nalamala forest region for research purpose and huge mountain regions, srisailam dam and stupas constructed by many raja's chatrapathi shivaji, krishna davaraya and may rare species etc

Activities & things to do: The main activities and things are visiting the shiva lingam with bakthi, sradha and seeing the architecture of Temple and knowing the history of temple .

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Travelling tips are avoid old people 60+ because the road will be very bad and only source to reach is by travelling on road and please book the satras according to your region or caste (it will be some what shocking thing) the will be divided according to there caste.

Srisailam Experience: Drive to Srisailam is very good with Forest approach & Dam view.Temple location is very well situated & a must place to visit this jyotir linga.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food around temple complex is good

Activities & things to do: Small museum to see in town.If time permits can visit dam

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Around 4 hrs drive by cab.Forest entry closes at 9pm not 7pm

Srisailam Experience: Its preety Good and we enjoy a Lot , especially forest Area and the Srisailam Dam.

Activities & things to do: Lot of Space and Can arrange As a pick Nick and Escurtion Spot
