Tezpur Experience: Tezpur is a lovely little town in the North-East. It is one of the few lush-green cities I have had the previlage to visit and experience. One has to always be in a hurry to have the best experience of a days life here, because the sun sets early here, as early as 4:45 pm.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: I wasn't able to explore much of food and shopping. But it certainly has good areas to visit, like the lake garden, the riverside park, and of course the mighty bhrahmaputra river itself.
Activities & things to do: Shopping of local handicrafts, peaceful spaces to relax amidst the nature.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Tezpur is a 4 hours drive or cab-ride from guwahati. Never take the private buses from guwahati. Cab, or government deluxe buses is the most preferred.
Tezpur Experience: It is a very quite but well organized town. all the basic facilities are available in Tezpur.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Fooding inside the hotel KRC was excellent be it Chinese, Indian or South Indian. For Sight seeing also lot of places are there inside the town as well as outskirts of Tezpur.
Activities & things to do: No Idea.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Better to avoid the rainy season for this trip. Best months to visit are from Sept to March. Nearest Aiport is Tezpur or else can go via Guwahati also by road. The roads are very good.
