Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There are some small malls that are good and foriegn bazaar where you can bargain and buy electronic stuffs, perfumes, cloths.

Trichy Experience: Trichy people are down to earth, there meal and breakfast are awasome natural , fruit juice and shake are easily available, drink is also easily available, tourist help point is at the center of bus stop , I saw many foreigners there , they enjoy alot there, idly dosha and tea are very good there, some palces are very nice to visit, lk rockfort temple, shrirangam, navagraha temple.

Trichy Experience: Basically famous for the Sri Rangam and Rock Fort temples.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Very convenient and comfortable bus service available to all parts of the city. Cheap, clean and sufficient quantity food is available almost everywhere. . People are very friendly. Carved idols are an attraction for purchase.

Activities & things to do: Temples are open most of the day. Except on special occasions not much crowd. Avoid visits during festivals like Vaikuntha Ekadasi. Cameras, cell phones need to be deposited outside before entering the sri Rangam temple.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: we can reach trichy by air,train or by bus..airport is about 30 to 45 mins travel from city..

Trichy Experience: It is the city where Cauvery river is flowing. Nice destination especially for Hindu Pilgirmage. Rock fort temple, Sri Ranganatha temple, srirangam, Samayapuram, Vayalur, Gunaseelam, Thiruvanaikoil etc., are around the city and there are lot of public transport (bus) to these places. Also Tanjore where Lord Pragadeeswara temple is there is around 60 kms away. Cost of living is comparatively cheap here

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sangeetha chain of restaurants- near Trichy bus stand. Nice place for Hindu pilgrimage.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Climate is warm throughout the year. It is 350kms from Chennai and can be reached by road in 5 hours. Number of trains starts from chennai go to Trichy. Also one can fly from Chennai to Trichy.

Trichy Experience: Excellent place for ancient temples, good south Indian coffee and Idly.

Trichy Experience: Trichy is a busy tourist place Temples, Cauvery river, now dry, heritage dam built by Karikaal chozhan, Mammoth Rockfort temple.

Trichy Experience: The place and specially the autos are on a looting spree right from the railway station. the visit to the temples were really good inspite of needing to cough up extra dough. good to visit all the nava-graha temples surrounding. could not spend much time at the brihadeeshvara temple but one has to allocate time to see so much of sculpting that is so good. useful to buy tickets every where for special darshan or else we stand to lose.

Activities & things to do: One must climb the rock fort. the temples of lord ranganatha and the thiruannai kovil is a must.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take a good advice from your hotel regarding taxis and good drivers as it could make a lot of difference. be prepared to be fleeced in spite of all your precautions. otherwise you will not be able to enjoy.

Trichy Experience: Trichy is an ancient town with lot of attractions like srirangam temple, uthipilayar koil, samayapuram, thiruvanakaval etc on the banks of river cauvery. It has a rich south indian tradition and has greenery all over the place. The cost of living is cheaper and is a good place even for retirees to settle down in the dawn of their lives.

Trichy Experience: Mainly a religious place with some industries around. Good connectivity to Chennai and Madurai. Liked the visits to Rock fort, srirangam and an excursion trip to Thanjavur.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Stand at srirangam temple worshiping lord ranga in mind, there is no equal enjoyment in the world. walking around temple. attend near rich paddy field village. relax in afternoon go evening to srirangam or tiruvanaikoil temple nothing wanted in life.
