Vellore Experience: shakthi amman temple is very powerfull godess,The god is always helpful.because the place around the temple are very much devoloped in the last 4 years,the people who are in the buisiness around the temple and devoloped in thier lives through thier business indirectly help given by god.

"CMC Vellore"

Vellore Experience: The main reason for going Vellore is for treatment in CMC, as having their best medical instruments and overall good interaction of their Doctor's. But, there is having some more attractions than CMC i.e. Golden Temple, Tirupati Temple and Natural Beauty of the Hill's etc. So, Vellore is a very nice place.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Fooding is available very well in chief rate.

Activities & things to do: Just Alert on train, specially Orrissa area (Baleswar, Cuttak Junctions are very theftfull area). But, relax in Vellore. In Vellore there is no tention like that.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Kharagpur to Katpadi thier is many more trains. HWH - YESHWANTPUR exp is more popular train. After reaching KATPADI JN take auto or Bus and go to Vellore. From KATPADI to Vellore it is by auto 15 minutes journey.

Vellore Experience: It was overall good destination to visit for those who wanted a short trip from daily stereo type life.Basically,vellore is attached to a historical place and lots of temples.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Good food.

Activities & things to do: There are some places to which one can go and enjoy it better.Vellore Fort,Amirthi Zoological Park,Golden temple,Ratnagiri Temple etc.

Vellore Experience: vellore has a pleasant climate with calm surroundings

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: apart from the visit to vellore palace and lake, vellore is a good place more for medical tourism, CMC being one of the best medical colleges of india.

Activities & things to do: not many to add to experience

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: since there is no airport at vellore, it can be reached by a flight to chennai (nearest) or bengaluru airport and then train or personal car/taxi to vellore

Vellore Experience: Vellore is known for golden temple and cmc hospital. if i want to tell about the golden temple my opinion is that i didnt feel like being in a temple it was like exhibition. CMC hospital is a globally known centre for treating difficult ailments. It is one of the hottest place in tamilnadu during summer.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: not so different to other places in tamilnadu.

Activities & things to do: I went for official purpose so not much on activities.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Easily reachable by buses. by train need to get down in katpadi junction and its just 6 kms from there to vellore.

Vellore Experience: Very Hot place in Tamilnadu. I usually travel by bus from Villupuram. But it takes a long time

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Fort and Golden Temple

Activities & things to do: Nearest famous cities - Thiruvannamalai and Tirupati.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Since it is hot city, use always cotton shirts. Nearest Airport - Chennai. Nearest Railway Station - Katpadi. Do not to visit on hot summer

Vellore Experience: Decent small Town, Booked this hotel for getting ready and sleep purpose. The fort was worth visiting and the Sripuram temple is good for visit not for religious way but to see the way this been built and maintained

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food was good in Darling Hotel, and road site eatties were fine, but highness is missing

Vellore Experience: Nothing worth mentioning apart from vellore golden temple.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sight-seeing includes golden temple and vellore fort. Couple other smaller things can be visited.

Activities & things to do: Quite a small town to do anything

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Best for a weekend trip, reach via bus from surrounding cities.

Vellore Experience: Excellent destination to drive too. Entire Highway is superb driving experience if going by your own vehicle.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is good is most of the local restaurants.

Activities & things to do: boating looks good near Vellore fort. Visit Jalagandeshwar Temple inside Vellore fort. Golden Temple @ Sripuram...best time to visit is during evening...looks very pleasent in under lights.

Vellore Experience: A good friendly place to be in. Guidance was good and we had no difficulty on the road any where.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Om Saravanabhava, Khanna hotel's restaurant for food. Ancient temples and the new one at Sri puram and the Vellore fort for sight seeing.

Activities & things to do: Visiting temples and spending quality time at the hotel

Vellore Experience: Good place to visit for pilgrimages. Has got Goldeen Temple, Jalagandeswarar Temple (Lord Shiva), Ratnagiri temple which is just 12 KMS away and Tiruvannamalai Temple ( Lord Shiva) which is 75 KMS away. Tirupati is just 110 KMS away from Vellore. Overall visiting Vellore shall take you around to major pilgrims in and around Tamilnadu. Also has CMC one of the best hospital in Asia catering to all major ailments. Vellore Institute of Technology is once again the most renowned educational insititute with world class standards.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Fort the famous one where the first Cepoy Mutiny has happened. Famous restaurants are available in and around Vellore. Lot of Jewellery shops, Waves the biggest Garment Showroom and an ideal place for the family to go around' Fun Planet' has just started.

Activities & things to do: Has got Fun Planet for kids just above the famous Waves Showroom, where the kids can play around and parents/elders can spend their time in play stations. And to add on to it an excellent food court is attached with Fun Planet.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Easy mode to reach by road and by train (Katpadi Junction). Good national highways route from all four sides of Vellore.

"Vellore by car from Chennai"

Vellore Experience: From Chennai we started early morning via Kancheepuram. After a short visit of Kanchi (the details will come in other Review on Kanchi), the journey continued via the highway which is like a runway. It should be kept it in mind that you should visit the fort temple before 12 Noon or after 4 PM. The temple is closed between 12 and 4 PM.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The guests were typical Bhutanese. The four Engineers were happy at the halt for breakfast in Saravana Bhavan in Kanchipuram and to Poori Subji was wonderful and every one of them took 2 plates each.

Activities & things to do: All of us directly went to the golden temple.Va re va! It is wonderful and the saddest part was that we were not allowed to take photos.One of my friends came in half pant which made him to buy a Dhoti and to enter into the temple in Dhoti. Then the visit continued to the Vellore Fort. It is really great that our ancestors were great builders. Inside the fort are the Jalakandeswara Temple, the fort museum and outside, the moat and the boating. There is a wonderful lawn in front of the Fort on the eastern side. On return you can visit Rathnagiri and the way side Hanuman temple and Rajiv Gandhi Memorial. It will be a memorable visit.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: It is convenient to hire a car from Chennai and start early hours around 6 Am and come back around 7PM. The deal was (we were four) 10 Hours and 100kms Rs 1200 and beyond that the rental for the car was 7Rs per km and 200 for the driver.It was around 260kms altogether. It came around 580 per head. Our driver was a wonderful old man who talked English,Hindi and Nepali too. If time permits, visit Vellore which is worth visiting.
