Could you please let me know if Hotel Kanchen Residency (Tibet Road)in Gangtok is a good place to stay ? Is it clean, confortable & does it have good view ?
Also could someone provide a first hand experience on Hotel Rabdentse Residency at Pelling ?
Am unable to get a review on it.
Also could someone provide first hand experience of other mid range hotels in Pelling, Lachung, Lachen & Darjeeling.

Planning to visit North East states during Dec 24, 2008 to 2nd jan, 09 along with family. Plan is reaching Bogdogra by flight from calcutta, then to Darjiling, Gangtok, Kalimpong, Shillong and to Gauhati airport to return back to Calcutta.
Please advise me about the flight schedule disruption due to fog. People says it difficult to move around the tourist places due to fog and snow. Actually we want to experience the snow fall during this period. which are the likely places for snow fall.
Please give me quick reply as I am planning to book the tickets in couple of days.
