We are planning a trip to Munnar for a week in the fourth week of October this year. We would like some advice in visiting nearby tourist spots.
We are planning to travel by train from Mumbai. What are the different travel options that are available to reach Munnar and to visit other areas from the resort.
If there are any places to be avoided, please let us know.

I was plannig to go to Munnar around mid august and wanted some information regarding it. What are the ways of going to Munnar from Bangalore (Train/ Bus) . Also, can you please tell me as to what are the hotels in Munnar with around 1500-200 tariff per night. We wanted to live a little close to the city or atleast in a hotel which provides good reasonable rates on the travel tours.
