Wayanad Experience: wayanad is a good tourism place we can see many places while traveling from coimbatore. once we go the place will attractive again and again,

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food is nice in the mintflower residency itself, sight seeing very near to the hotel shopping we can buy from the hotel outlet.

Activities & things to do: camp fire

Wayanad Experience: Wayanad is a very beautiful place. The best season to go there would be during the winter . That is September - Feb . There are many natural landscapes which makes the Wayanad a great place to be at .

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Everything is really good

Wayanad Experience: Good place to visit between August to December. Visit Thirunelli forest, Tholpetty wildlife sanctuary, Muthanga forest, wildlife sanctuary, Choojippara falls, Karappuzha dam, Banasura sagar dam, Kuruva dweep and Pookkode lake. Old people, those with asthma, heart diseases should avoid Edakkal cave. Children will be happy to go to pookkode lake. Stay is best at Kalpetta hotels for rich, upper middle class people, while stay will be good at Sulthan Bathery for others.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food will be good in select hotels only.

Activities & things to do: Enjoy trekking at wildlife sanctuary.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Always return to hotel by 6pm particularly when you are returning in Thirunelli to kalpetta route and muthanga to kalpetta route as elephant and other animals may interfere

Wayanad Experience: Good and scenic place nothing much to go for shopping but an unforgettable experience watching the magnificient beauty of this place

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: No much shopping areas

Activities & things to do: Visit pookot lake without fail

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: arrange via travel agent for cab else there is some expensive spends waiting you

Wayanad Experience: Nice scenes. Waterfall was although quite tiring but once we reached it was nice.

Wayanad Experience: Nice place to visit but not during summer. If you are nature lover, it's a place for you. Go to the Lakkidi View point to see the beauty of valley.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Not much things to shop except few handicraft stuff. Do take elephant ride at the Pookode lake. You can visit several falls, dams and tea estates in and around Waynad.

Activities & things to do: Artificial fall inside resort is a good option to cool yourself apart from swimming pool. There is recreational room in the resort. Also don't forget to go for spa or Ayurveda massage.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Waynad is 120 Kms from Mysore. Roads are excellent so you can opt for your own vehicle for the journey. On the way, you may come across wild elephants in the Bandipur Jungle. Beware of wild elephants! You can carry umbrella to save yourself from unusual rains.

Wayanad Experience: wayanad super place But every place we need walk at least 1.5 km or 3 km And road not good...

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: food except the kudajadri homestay is good. other than that hotels the food not good. except the udupi hotel

"Awesome Waynad"

Wayanad Experience: Waynad is a very beautiful place. With a lot of places & Lakes to visit, you would enjoy your stay in Waynad. When I had been to Waynad, had stayed in Olives homestay, the location of which was awesome. Most of the times we were sitting in the balcony (sometimes with a cup of tea) to enjoy the breath-taking views of green-covered mountains.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food in the homestay was very nice. As I am not from Kerala, I cannot eat the boiled rice. In homestay I didn't have a problem as the food served was excellent, but had a tough time outside.

Activities & things to do: Lot of places & lakes to visit. In many of the lakes you can go for boat rides as well. If you are a trekker you would have additional options. Also there are many waterfalls around Waynad

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Reaching Waynad was tough for us.. We couldn't find any Govt buses to reach Waynad. we travelled in Kallad travels, but it was a worst travel experience. But once we reached Waynad, the homestay owner was there to pick us from the drop point, so didn't have any problems.

"Trip to Wayanad, Meenangadi and Kalpetta"

Wayanad Experience: Kerala, God's own country. Beautiful Everywhere. Just take some time out of your life and visit this place, just for the sake of feeling the divine.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The food is good overall, but I didnt try the road side stalls. There are a lot of destinations nearby Wayanad to visit ranging from waterfalls to caves.

Activities & things to do: Visit around and forget yourself.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Its an easy travel via bus. But be advised, that the way is through the hilly areas and might make you nauseated.

"Fantabulous Wayanad"

Wayanad Experience: Best South-Indian destination I've been to. Loads of site-seeing places , with perfect climate and breathtaking nature's beauty.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Mouth-watering traditional Kerala,Chinese and Continental food were available. Shopping attractions were less, with the best being handicraft stuff and homemade chocolates. 3 great waterfall, Motor ride in a huge dam, Kuruvadeep island were the best site-seeing experiences.

Activities & things to do: Trekking N boating easily finds the highest priority for visitors. And with that visiting 10+ site-seeing places makes Wayanad a perfect destination to visit.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Nearest train station is Kozhikode. From there a 2 hour hilly travel to Wayanad. Carry a little quantity of salt in your travel bag to avoid leech trouble while trekking.

"The enchanting Wayanad"

Wayanad Experience: Lots of places to see. The edakkal caves in particular is fantastic. Now a days I guess , the tourists are not permitted to climb to the caves .What a pitty! Banasura sagar Dam is also picturesque.The Thirunelli wild life sanctuary is also very beautiful. There is also Kuruva Dweep.Pazhashi Raja's tomb has historical importance,. There are also water falls which are beautiful. The landscape of the District itself is wonderful. Winters are the best.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Difficult to find sophisticated Restaurants . What ever there is, is at Kalpetta. The beauty of the place is also that it is not sophisticated. If you have a proper mind set , the place is heaven.You might have to wait a long time at Kuruva Dweep since there is only one ferry which would transport 10-15 people at a time. You should get there early .

Activities & things to do: Lots of opportunities for trekking . Photographers would have a field day.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: No rail facility. Travel to Coorg would be the worst part of your travel life .The road is so miserable.Road from Kozhikode to Kalpetta is good.

Wayanad Experience: The destination is good. The view points and the nature is awesome of that place.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The restaurants are very good in wayanad specially the non veg foods are very delicious.

Activities & things to do: Sight-seeing and foods.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: The nearest station and airport is Mysore to reach wayanad. After reaching Mysore take a cab to visit the place.

Wayanad Experience: Very good place to see...tea gardens n sightseen were very good..perfect place to plan the holidays

Wayanad Experience: Wayanad is one of the best destination in Kerala. Ponds, Dam, Wildlife, Trekking, Jungle trip everything in that place. Best time to visit is on or after monsoon. Visit pookode lake, banasura dam, chembara peak, edakkal caves,muthanga, kurava island etc

Wayanad Experience: We went as a group and the places were really good in the month of December. Trekking in the chembra peak will be the one of the best experience. If you go as a group you will really enjoy. Soochipara falls was good. Meenmutty falls was closed due to some problems that time. We wasted two hours in reaching there. The update would have been nice in websites.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sight seeing is good. Food worst place to have. Could not find good hotels. I could not find anything for shopping.

Activities & things to do: You can have trekking in chembra peak. Camp fire if it is a group.

Wayanad Experience: Place is very nice and clean.Almost all the sight seeing is good. Especially kuruva island and soochipara waterfalls. Climate is moderate.

Wayanad Experience: The Destination is a kind of welcoming types to the tourists, people are non Pushy and are ready to help in case of requirement. has a well balanced Eco area to be explored...

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food is good and if you want authentic kerala type food options are available too for that, Sight seeing is what this place is about, has a huge Lake where boating is also available (they give Life Jackets too ;-) ), there is a Water fall also nearby, there is a sun set point also in close proximity. and there are ghats and ghats n ghats, so LOVE jungle this is the place, not much of Shopping other than the local shops selling some kerala type chips n stuff and those agarbatti, Honey, handicrafts etc...

Activities & things to do: Boating at the lake, Small trek to the Water fall, Off Roading (with the help of resort guys or the locals there ONLY), Guided Trek into the Jungle.... AND MOST OF ALL STAY PEACEFULLY HAND IN HAND WITH MOTHER NATURE...

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: almost 265 KMS from Bangalore, 115 Kms from Mysore, 65 Kms from Gundelpet, you can leave bangalore by 6 am Drive down on Mysore road reach mysore by 10 am have breakfast at ' MAHESH PRASAD, a homely Hotel near Ballal Circle, and then drive down towards Gundlupet and have a nice fresh Coconut there and proceed towards Cochin Highway and just keep driving till you see the board WAYNAD and you are there, you must be there by 12. or Max 12.30 types, just right time for the resort checkin timings, BE CAREFUL AS YOU PASS THRU SOME GHATS AND RASH DRIVERS IN THE ROUTE, the route between Mysore and gundlupet is single line in most of the places so take necessary care in driving...

Wayanad Experience: it's really beautiful place for all age . Max of places are covered with tea estates. very good for people who wants to take real and peaceful vacation leave :)
