"Vacation at Yercaud"

Yercaud Experience: It was very good to spend time, neither too cold not too hot. the climate was very plesent, as i have kid at 3 yrs, it was very ideal location to go and enjoy, without much worries.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Awosome Food, and the greenish sight everywhere. Good to see.

Activities & things to do: Not tried, so no idea.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Reachable through Train, Road way, but I would suggest to go by car by self driving, that will be different feeling.

Yercaud Experience: The best place for a cost conscious family in summer. The natural green cover, the coffee plants add to the scenic beauty of the place. Long treks help in us understanding nature to the core and one cannot miss the variety of fruits and vegetables available at the hill and a lot of traditional vegetables are also seen there.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Every food you want is available at the resort itself. The evening tea by the lake with chilli bajji is an additional treat

Activities & things to do: Trekking and boating

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: We went by car. I had never driven any ghat section, but this was no problem although it means maneuvering 20 hair pin bends.

"beauty in heights."

Yercaud Experience: yercaud is excellent hill station, with nice green mountain, cool and fantastic natural lakes, trees. The experience of surrounding by thick huge black clouds and their sudden releasing, makes you the residing in a green rainy heaven surrounded by natural beauty.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: The tea served in tamilnadu hotel is highly very nice with good flavour

Activities & things to do: very nice to reside there in a night and early morning weather.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From salem, it is very near to climb the mountain and we have to climb the mountain before sun set to avoid troubles of surrounded by thick clouds and loss of light for journey

Yercaud Experience: We went at march, not that much cool. In resort we cant sleep without a/c. But hotel is good and staff are friendly. Food and all are nice with correct price.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Site are not that much worth. Food is good.

"A must visit"

Yercaud Experience: Destination is good to relax and enjoy your time out of the boredom of mundane life. Nothing much to see, but some good scenic beauty will enchant you away from the hustle bustle of the city life. perfect getaway for newly weds, good weather.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: We ate at the hotel we stayed in. Food was good and we mostly had biryani and chinese. Service was prompt and 24*7. There are few view points which can be commuted by a cab in half a day. shopping wise nothing much is there.

Activities & things to do: Watch and cover all the spots by a cab.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: go to salem, take a bus from new bus stand to yercaud. it takes 1 hr. every 10 mins buses start from salem. book hotels in advance. do not expect a kodikanal or ooty, but surely you get a good holiday experience in short time.

Yercaud Experience: nice place for taking rest but nothing great on sight seeing,only great thing is sherveroyan temple and boat house,but you can have a overall driving thru the village

Yercaud Experience: Nice place for a weekend gateway from Bangalore. We started off in the morning and were there by lunchtime. It was not very cold in the morning but by evening it was getting little bit cold.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is nothing much to do apart from visiting few viewpoints.

Activities & things to do: Boating in the lake Pick some oils Spices.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Ghat road is not dangerous but you need to be careful as the buses drive fast especially while on the downhill

Yercaud Experience: main place to view : pacoda point,rose garden, ladies seat, gents seat,lake, boating point, parks etc,..

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: For pure vegetarians 'hotel vekateshwara' will be nice. for pizza 'pear tree cafe' opp to montfort school.

Activities & things to do: should enjoy the weather and admire the nature.

Yercaud Experience: Yercaud can be recognise as a hillstation other than Ooty, Kodaikanal and Munnar in southern part of India. Yercaud has to have more restaurants for Vegetrain specific eaters.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Needs more options for Vegetrian people.

Activities & things to do: Yercaud is the place for people who fed up with Chennai climate (hot, hotter and hottest).

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: I have enjoyed Yecaud during April month with pleasent climate.

Yercaud Experience: Evening are Very cool here, Experience the Winter here when crowd is less.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Dont miss Kal Dosa for the Breakfast . Tasty foods . Delay in Room service tests your patience when you are hungry enough

Activities & things to do: nothing much to do , Just have a walk in the morning .few places to see, Cave temple is a must see, Rather View points are cool in the evenings. Avoid boating in the lake.

Yercaud Experience: Less crowded, good weather, pleasant stay. Since not many places to visit, recommend to plan your time effectivly.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Not many places to visit. Just need 2-3 hours to visit all the places.

Activities & things to do: None

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Bangalore you have to go through Salem. Plan1:30 for that road from Salem to Yercaud.

Yercaud Experience: Yercaud is called Poorman's Ooty. It is approximately 30 KM from SALEM.Cost of Living is cheaper in Yercaud, People who can't afford go to Kodai / Ooty, can able to visit with in a short span.There are lot of sight seeing places, We can cover all within 2 Full Days. We went there during FLOWER SHOW Festival during May month,

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: There is One SARAVANA ELITE Restaurant which is fantastic and wonderful. All the Sight Seeing can be covered in 2 Full Days stay. We need to have our own vehicle for the sight seeing.

Activities & things to do: Outside Yercaud, we can visit places like Mettur Dam, Namakkal Aanjaneyar Temple and places near Erode.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: We need to reach SALEM (Well connected by Bus Route & Train Route). From there Yercaud is only 30 km.

Yercaud Experience: Yercaud is a very nice and pleasant place to stay in the month of august September. Greeny atmosphere and mild chillness and recreation spots around this, make a convenient and enjoyable environment.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Food : i prefer to have sherveroys itself, it is taste and hygienic Sight seeing: Rose garden, Sherveroys temple at the peak, lake and park, Ladies and gents seat, and killiyur falls are best places to see.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: It is located in salem district, Tamil nadu. You can reach yercaud within 45 mins from salem town. Salem has number of connectivity through out country by road, rail (one of the southern regional centre- every day around 50 trains are passing through salem) and airways. you can reach salem from chennai just by 5 hrs.

Yercaud Experience: Amazing Weekend Getaway from Bangalore . A distance of 230 kilometers that can be easily covered in 4-5 hours with amazing roads . The climate at Yeracaud round the year is amazing and is a great place to Unwind . With a lot of resorts & homestays . Its once of the easiest places to pack your bags and go to.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Favorite Restaurant : Salem Heights Attraction : Boating Pagoda Point

Activities & things to do: ATV Biking at Grange Resort

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: From Bangalore Once you cross Electronic City its one road for the next approximately 200 kilometers that will take you to Salem, From here any one can guide you to yercaud and you may just need a few turns to reach out there hence , if you haven't been there you don't need a map or a guide just simple skills to Drive on the same road :-)

Yercaud Experience: Good accommodation good food with timing sight seeing.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: saravana bhavan, boating and park.

Activities & things to do: More time is need to feel the nature

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: To reach yerkad from salem bus stand to yerkad 1 and half hour hill traveling. Morning traveling will be nice to reach yerkad.

Yercaud Experience: We reach from coimbatore to yercaud within 3 hours. From salem it will take 45 minutes only.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Hotel tamil nadu serving nice food. No much shopping area in yercaud.

Activities & things to do: Nothing

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Peoples are advice to choose to go for half season(Dec & Jan), because its nice & excellent climate.

Yercaud Experience: For our journey the 50% of the motive is to relax the mind. the accommodation is so good and safety for the customers. The service is very good as well as comparing to the others.Overall it is cheap and good.Our overall experience is very good.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Ladies seat and gents seat are an good view to see. The beautifulest place in the Yercaud is the rose garden. It shall be attracted all kinds of peoples.

Activities & things to do: This is the best place for relaxing the mind for the middle class peoples with the family in the weekends.

Yercaud Experience: Very good location and a weekend destination. We stayed in Grand palace hotel which was very good

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Being cold place food to be taken very hot in any of the hotels.

Activities & things to do: Boating at the Yercaud lake, Go to Raja Seat and Rani Seat where in you can see the entire Yercaud.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Coming by train get down at Salem and can take cab to Yercaud or you get lot of buses which ply to Yercaud.

Yercaud Experience: The lake, botanical garden, zoological park is very good

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: South Indian and north indian foods are available in good quality and reasonable price

Activities & things to do: Morning and evening walk in the chill climate gives very pleasure

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Reach for salem Junction to yercaud by car. hairpin bend in the yercaud hills is very less so the traveling is not tedious
