Yumthang Valley also called the Valley of Flowers is situated in North Sikkim of East India. Yumthang Valley is located about 3575 meters above sea level.

Monsoon begins in Yumthang Valley during late June and it lasts through September. Monsoon season in Yumthang Valley is characterized by heavy rains and strong winds often resulting in landslides. Summer is the best time to visit Yumthang Valley. But a clear view of snow capped Eastern Himalayan ranges is possible only during autumn.
