Overall Hotel Rating - how it is calculated
The overall rating of a hotel is the average of all travellers' ratings for that hotel. Travellers rate a hotel on 9 key parameters:
|
| Destination |
Location |
Appearance |
Bookings & Front Office |
| Service |
Room |
Food & Drinks |
Activities |
In addition, there is one more parameter depending on the type of hotel.
Each parameter is rated on a scale of 1 to 7 by travellers - 1 being the worst and 7 being the best.
The individual ratings for each hotel is the combined average of all these parameter ratings. All travellers' ratings for a particular hotel are averaged to give you the overall rating for that hotel.
Rating Reliability
The more ratings a hotel receives, the more reliable is the rating against it. Which is why we urge travel lovers to rate their holidays and weekend getaways regularly, to help build the ratings and make the site a useful and reliable reference for all travellers.
If travellers have had a great experience at any hotel, it is bound to reflect in the rating index it receives. Giving you a snapshot of what to expect should you visit the hotel yourself. |
