hello sir i am staying in pune and would like to visit ajantha ellore caves can you give me the details regarding how to reach aurangabad through train,the station near to aurangabad ,where to stay and i am planning my trip for 3days which includes saturday and sunday so is the caves open on every day?should i hire a cab to visit the places or any bus services are available?

Hi Ronald,

For visiting Ajanta & Ellora Aurangabad will be the most convenient place to stay. You can get many buses from Pune which takes 5-6 hrs to reach Aurangabad.

Ajanta caves are closed on Mondays and Ellora caves are closed on Tuesdays. You can cover Ellora (60 km.)along with Daulatabad fort, Bibi Ka Makbara and other points of Aurangabad. Ajanta caves are 110 km. from Aurangabad. You can also consider Paithan where you can visit the famous Garden near the dam also.

You can book sight seeing tours from Pune or from Aurangabad. Hiring cab will also be convenient for you to cover all the points.
