Anniversary in Chail

Me and my wife are planning a trip to Chail. Please tell us which is the best time to visit. And a nice hotel to stay in as we want to celebrate our second anniversary

August and September are one of the best times as Chail can be visited anytime of the year. The place has its own charm in every season. I went there for my honeymoon and it was definitely the place we were looking for. Tranquil place with nice weather and absolutely nothing to do but to enjoy nature and believe me you can not get tired of it. Visit any nearby hills, pack lunch from hotel and get to any secluded place, enjoy rains and morning breakfast with colorful birds...

We stayed in The Chail Palace which is a grand property. There is not even a single thing we had regretted about that place and the hotel. Food was awesome and in good portions. The serve exactly the kind of food you expected it to be...

I have heard of another Hotel The Tarika Jungle Retreat as a good one but have not experienced the stay there...

Dear friend

There are no two opinions that Chail Palace is the best hotel there. Stay for two nights in the main hotel building (do not opt for any of the Cottages since they are more suitable if there are three or more couples). In my opinion the best time is October / November. If you have more time at your disposal, stay for two nights at Narkanda also (which is 80 km further up)

I completely agree.. Chail Palace is the best place to stay...
I have stayed in Hotel Lions... one of my friends has stayed in Rashi ... its a beautiful one... You can also stay at Tarika's Jungle Retreat.

But Chail Palace..you will enjoy staying as its really a old palace bunglow..its a heritage...

Regarding best time to visit.. my suggestion visit on your anniversary day only... anyother time will not have the same impact as the day itself..

Hi Salman

Well, if you are planning to go to Chail to celebrate your anniversary, then don't think of any other time except the day of your anniversary. Otherwise, the best periods to visit Chail would be September-November and February-April.

The best place to stay is definitely the Chail Palace, which is an experience in itself. Otherwise, Rashi resorts is another good option.
