What are the chief attractions in Bandipur National Park? What is the best time to visit there?

The jeep safari is the main attraction. Depending on your luck, you can spot several species of wildlife - monkeys, langur, spotted deer, peacock (almost a given) and others such as wild elephant, Sambar deer, Dhole (Indian wild dog), Barking deer, Bison, Leopard and Tiger, if you are lucky .

People mainly visit Bandipur to see animals, it is one of the best Tiger Reserves in India. Generally sightings of animals is good in Other predators that can be sighted are Leopards &Wild dogs.

Bandipur, being one of the best wildlife sanctuaries of India,the main attraction is of course the animals (specially tigers & elephants).Besides, the Gopalswamy Betta, one of the highest peak of Bandipur (4800 feet amsl) houses a 13th. century fort.

Avoid the monsoon and October to March would be ideal.
