CONFUSED

HI FRIENDS,
I M NEW TO HOLIDAY IQ. NEVERTHELESS ITS A WONDERFUL SITE.

I WAS PLANNING AWEEK END TRIP FROM BANGALORE. I M A LITTLE CONFUSED. THE CHOICES HAVE BOILED DOWN TO 2 DESTINATIONS. I BEING PONDCHERRY AND THE OTHER wayanad. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME DECIDE THE DESTINATION.

Both destinations are easy to drive and around the same .
However, Wayanad has more places to visit and better resorts. While Pondicherry has better hotels and fewer . The primary difference is that Pondicherry is a city while Wayanad is in the jungle.

From a timing perspective, since the monsoons have set in would suggest Pndicherry as you may not be able to travel and see places

Wayanad would be a bad idea to visit at this point of time just for the reason being, the South West Monsoon would be setting in the June time frame. During rainy season it is NOT advisable to visit this place...Pondycherry...Probably you can try...but I donot see much things there at pondycherry too..

wayanad will be wet now. heavy rains. leeches in some higher places. not much of wild life to see due to the heavy rains. but if u like rains n cold, nothing like it. Pondy will be moderate, cool etc. anyway beaches in teh rain are much better than jungles in the rain. my personal choice

Any place in kerala is not an ideal option if you are planning for outdoor activities and sight seeing as monsoon is gathering pace after a slow start. But if you want a "far from the madding crowd" experience Wayanad is very good option.

We had been to Wayanad recently(June 14th to 16th) and stayed at Vythiri Resort. At Vythiri it was raining all the time and we enjoyed it. We did not go anywhere rather soaked in laziness and rain.

I have been to Wayand twice till date. However, I personally feel Coorg is better option than Wayanad. The drive is good and there are many many places to see in Coorg if the rain permits. If you stay in a Coorgi's home stay then the experience would be wonderful.

If you are married go to Coorg if unmarried than Puducherry is a nice option.
