Hi,
Good to know you are visiting chail. In fact Chail is not regular tourist place with loads of tourist and Mall Road, it is a very nice and quiet destination with very few touristy destinations. But still for the sake of description you can see world highest cricket field and Chail Palace which is now being run as Hotel.
Apart from this you can have great weather and lovely walks in nature, else you can drive to Kufri and Simla as both of these are close vicinity.

I agree with Sudhir... as it's a secluded place you will be on your own most of the times. It's a great place to be away from crowd & have a good time with nature.
We stayed at Tarika's Jungal . It is a self sufficient place. But thing to remember is to get a room at height else the view is only pine trees!
Shilonbagh is close-by from Chail, on way to Kufri, again a good valley view from the .

Hi,
Pls do visit Chail for its serene and calm beauty. Drive 80 kms further up and visit narkanda. It is very beautiful and you will find snow even in the first week of April on the ski-slopes which are just 1 km (walking distance) from Himachal Tourism's hotel "The Hatu". Stay there for at least one night and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the mountains.

Hi Karthik
While in Chail, there would not be much for you to visit, except the Chail Palace and the Cricket field (highest in the world). However, Chail is one place you should go to relax and enjoy its scenic beauty and not look for tourist destinations.
If you can, do stay a couple of nights at the Chail Palce and enjoy the hospitality as well as the beauty. While you can take leisurely walks during the day or enjoy your tea in the lawns, evenings would be best spent chatting up with the bar tender at the hotel's bar and hear the historical stories about Chail and the Palace from him while enjoying your drink.
Just one thing, beware of the monkeys when you step out of the palace in the driveway and the lawns.
Enjoy!
Sumit

Hi,
Great place. As others have mentioned, palace & cricket ground are only places to see as tourist spots, but you can wander around in abundant nature abd nobody will bother you. Great place to just relax & enjoy the nature.
