Hubli to Chikmagalur via bus Q&A

Hi,
I need information if there are direct / frequent buses from Hubli to Chikmagalur. If so what is the frequency and time of travel. Also, approximate fares.

In short, what is the best way to travel by bus on Hubli -> Chikmagalur route.

hubli is approx 350km from chikmagalur.there r no delux or volvo buses from hubli to chikmagalur.all buses going to dharmastala and mangalore usually pass through chikmagalur.tariff is about 125inr.just an ADVICE,take intercity train for a quicker and comfortable journey from hubli to kadur and take a bus from kadur to chikmagalur(just 40km)

The reason for us enquiring for bus is that we are arriving from hyd (to hubli) by train at around 9:00 AM and the next train to Kadur is at 1:00 PM. I was thinking we could catch a bus instead of waiting for 4 hrs in the hubli station.

Please let us know if there are any more trains (from Hubli to Kadur) before 1:00 PM
