Is there really any package in Honeypot Homes? Q&A

Being desirous of visiting Coorg this month and after studying the overview and reviews in HolidayIQ pages, I had shortlisted some homestays including Honeypot for our stay at coorg. But before booking I made a phone call to Mr Shamveel of Honeypot Homes just to enquire about the tariff and facilities they're offering when I was surprised to learn that their tariff was Rs3000/- per couple per day (22hours from 2.00pm check-in time to 12.00noon check-out time next day) and when asked about any Package for Rs3000/- per couple for 2days/1night from 1st June '09 to 30th Sept '09 as mentioned in HolidayIQ pages for their homestays, he termed it as bogus!
Hence, would the authority please update and post its correct package/deal in this webpage?

I have not intended my above post to mean like "would anybody recommend me a homestay at coorg instead of Honeypot homes" as I have already zeroed in and booked the next higher rated homestay there. Rather I would liked to interact with the members if they've recently stayed there with the above package (as marked in holidayiq page) or there was no such offer at all as confirmed by the owner.

Ppl keep changing tariffs and they cant be exact always.
Having said that, this place you are talking about seems to be on the higher side. You can also try Honey Valley if you like. they have rooms from 250-990. (excl tax of 10.2%. Add that to get final figure)

Actually, worldwide hoteliers follow this policy of counting "Nights" and "Days". You should not go by the book where it says 24 hours = 1 Day. In hotel parlance the check-in & check-out times keep the track of Nights and Days. For instance, in a hotel where check-in time is 12 noon, if you enter there at 6 in the evening, your time will be counted from 12 noon only; and not from the time you actually entered! So, technically even if you stay for 25 hours it can be counted inside 1 Night and 2 Days.

Hi!

I have not heard of the place. However, I stayed at The Jade being run by Kabir & Megha. Had a wonderful time. The place is much much better and scenic with cheaper fare aprox 2500/- per night (incl of breakfast), though you will have to pay for other meals per head (may seem to be a bit more) but be sure that you will get excellent and authentic Coorgi Meals prepared by their mother. I would suggest you take only lunch outside while site seeing but be sure to have Breakfast and Dinner at The Jade only. Their Coffee estate is also very nice to have leisurely walks.

The place is situated near Kutta (South Coorg) and is more beautiful and scenic with the start of the Western Ghats (In case you need pics of the place I can forward you the link to my web photo album). Nagrahole Sanctuary and Irupu waterfalls are just close by. You will definitely be requiring a vehicle to drive around as the other places are at quite a distance.
