please tell me where should i stay at Hampi?

I have stayed at the Malligi hotel (in Hospet) and it is a nice, not so expensive place. A favorite for many Hampi travelers.
The other place in Hospet is Shanbagh Towers which is also a reasonably decent place.
There is Heritage Village resort much closer to Hampi, but it is very expensive.
There are also some basic homestays within Hampi itself (400-500 rs per person).

I had stayed at KSTDC's Hotel cauvery Bhavan, the accommodation is good but food and service are terrible. Try asking at "Mango Tree" which is a restaurant which serves delicious food at hampi. There are a couple of beautiful guest houses near mango tree.

Hi Priyanka,

I stayed at Shanti Guest House last month. Go ahead. Book it. Really good place. Don't stay at hospet. Its about 15 kms from Hampi and it doesnt make sense to travel up and down everytime you need to check some place out at Hampi and trust me when I tell you this. THERE ARE TOO MANY PLACES TO VISIT HERE!!!

Hi Priyanka,
We stayed at Karnataka Tourism Hotel Bhuvaneshwari. The booking can be done on internet on Karnataka tourism web site. Food is ok , rooms are acceptable. The hotel is very close to the Hampi ruins.
