Weekend getaway

Hi

I am getting married this December and was wanting to book at a resort for a 2 day stay at any good 5 star . I have come to understand that there is Westin Resort and Spa in Sohna, Heritage Village and Best Country Club Resort in Manesar. I was wanting for someone to give me a feedback as to which will be better bet...We were looking for a place that can help us relax after the hectic schedule of marriage. All we want is to get some wonderful ambiance with good servise and some activities that'll help us not be stuck in a room.

Can anyone help???

Hi Malleka - Sohna and manesar are almost inside Delhi. Maybe you should go away a bit further away for your honeymoon. Why not try Neemrana which is also not too far from Delhi, but has the romance of a fort.

Well, we have been to Neemrana before and were not impressed by he place.
This weekend getaway will actually be like the relaxing 2 day tour after the busy schedule of marriage prep. and the event itself (Something like a pre-honeymoon).For the real Honeymoon we are still deciding. We have options like Mauritius, Andamans, Thailand. We were interested in places like Egypt or Bhutan but they will be freezy at that time of the year, so we've kept them for some other season and celebration.

We need advise for both the pre-honeymoon and real honeymoon places.

Hi Malleka,

If you have to choose out of these three then go for first Westin Sohna (since it is slightly away from main Gurgaon hussle & bussle plus good ambience) & secondly Heritage Village Manesar (it is okay for a 2 day relaxation). Another place is Wet N Wild Resort, which you might have enjoyed earlier... but it is quite a "rush/crowd" place.

If you can travel a bit ... travel to :
a) ANANDA In the Himalayas (near rishikesh), Palace Estate, Narendra Nagar, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand -249175 Tel - +91 1378 227500
b) Aman Resort, Amanbagh, Ajabgarh, Rajasthan - Amanbagh, tel (91) 1465 223 333

or simply relax at the Trident Hotel, Gurgaon (Enjoy at Spa, Gym, Swim & Food !)
