Houseboat in Srinagar

Hi We are visiting Srinagar in May. I wish to know if we want to spend one night in the houseboat then would you suggest us to stay in a houseboat on a Dal lake or Nagin Lake. And if you could also recommend the houseboat we could stay in. Thanks

we were in kashmir in 2007. the answer is DAL LAKE . we had a nice stay with a house boat named zigmalay booked thru j&k tdc. n had a very pleasant stay.

I visited Kashmir many time specially for Amarnath Yatra..In 2011 we will also visiting Amarnathji..
My best stay in Srinagar : Fairy Land Houseboat in Dal Lake..

Jyoti..while visiting Pahalgam must Visit KOKARNAG and VERINAG around 130 kms return trip....

and while visiting SONMARG must visit HAJARATBAL DARGAH , KHIRBHAWANI TEMPLE and KANGAN VILLAGE on way to Sonmarg and near Sonmarg do visit THAJIWAS nearly 5 Kms from SONMARG
