please suggest budget hotels in ajanta and ellora..my budget is around 1000 rs.

I am not sure if you get any hotels around these places. You get good hotels in Aurangabad and travel to Ellora (20 Km) and Ajanta (100 km). Also make sure which days theses caves are closed in the week so you do end up losing a day. If I remember right, Ajanta is closed on Monday and Ellora on Tuesday.

I visited ajanta & ellora in august 2009. i camped at Aurangabad and it is the best place to stay as the city is well connected with all over the country by bus, train as well as by air. i stayed at ITDC hotel which had a room rent starting from Rs. 700/- per day to Rs. 3000/- per day for a double bed room. I took rent of a Rs. 1000/- per day room in 'Ellora' building and the arrangements were nice there. The restaurant was very good and the best facility rather to say the advantage I enjoyed that the conducted tour arranged by both MTDC and ITDC started from the hotel. Thus, there was no worry to leave the bed early in the morning and to be hurry for the breakfast and to rush for the starting spot of the tour as everything was to be originated from my hotel. other budget hotels are near to the bus stand and main market area which was to cost from rs. 400/ to Rs. 1000/- per day in and around ugust, 2009.
