Hi,
I dont know your date of travel, but It is definitely a good place, but you will only travel next day to yumthang (valley of flowers) and then return back.
You can go to Zero point from Yumthang and avail stay there/or next day visit katao from lachung and enjoy the view of kanchenjunga and snow.
The journey from Gangtok to Lachung is little tiring for many,but once you reach lachung and Yumthang you forget everything. You start at 9.30 am and reach lachung by 4.30 pm evening.

Lachung is a great place for honeymoon... i don't know when u wud b travelling ... but post march it wud b a beautiful place considering the orchids tht wud bloom .... i had gone for my honeymoon in February this year.. and it was biting cold with temperatures below 0 degrees... nevertheless it was fun as the YARLAM resort is very comfortable... do try to stay there .. also go to Yumthang and wud never feel like coming back... being in the lap of nature wid ur soulmate wud be a truly memorable experience... !!!
