Hi,

I will be visiting Jaipur on the 15th of July and need a Guest House or Lodge accommodation with attached toilet for a couple of weeks. Last time I was in Jaipur, I stayed at Mahal Palace Guest House for 300 per night for a month. Please suggest something neat around similar budget in and around Durgapura, New Sanganer Road, Mansarovar or Agarwal Farms.

Thanks and Regards,
Jerry

Hello "Mr. Moderator" :)
Thanks a bunch for your mail. Look! searching for budget hotels on the site is the first thing I did, but the list displayed doesnt clarify which locality those Hotels or Guest Houses are in.

My query was more specific. I needed a list or info on Guest Houses in the areas specified in the post. viz.. Agarwal Farms, New Sanganer Road, Mansaroovar, Durgapura etc.

Please see if you can help me in that regard.

As mentioned earlier, the last time I was there, I stayed at Mahal Palace (Attached Bath, Desert Cooler, decent room) in Durgapura for 300 a night for a month. Which I thought was great value. I am just looking for a change. Btw, if you are wondering, i am traveling (keep traveling) to Jaipur to brush up on my riding skills. So at the end of a tiring day I would like to retire in a decent place. :)

I trust I have made myself clear this time.

Also, I reach Agra Cantt at 0400 on the 15th of July 2012. There is a train to Jaipur from Agra Fort at 0510 which I am pretty sure I will miss. Are there good AC buses from Idgah Bus Stand to Jaipur. I checked online (Redbus, Travelyaari, UPSRTC, RSRTC and other sites) and they all say that there are NO buses available for the said date or time which is kind of hard to digest for me.

Please help/advise (more with the stay and if possible with the travel too)

Thanks and Regards,
Jerry

Hello JP,

Great to know that you are a frequent traveler. There are few hotels in the areas that you have mentioned but it is not in the budget that you told. There can be a few hotels but it is not listed in our website.

So if you are ready to increase you budget then let me know i can help you with your search.
And Unfortunately even i didn't find any bus available on the date you have mentioned. I would suggest you to keep an eye on the travel portals to check availability.

Happy Holidaying!! :)

Thanks for your prompt responses. I appreciate it.

By how much am I required to increase the budget. The only down side to it is that I usually travel for long periods like a fortnight to a month and budget is a constraint. :) But yes .. say I am willing to increase it, what options would you suggest (with contacts would be brilliant).

And hey! worst case scenario, I can still talk to folks at Mahal Palace and stay there. The only reason I have this post is so that I can have some change. Dont get me wrong; like I said earlier, Mahal Palace is a really nice place.

Yeah I will keep an eye on the travel portals. But its kind of strange that there is no bus on the Agra-Jaipur route ... or rather not showing on these portals. I am certain there are hundreds of buses. My friend has told me that there are regular bus services (AC and Volvo - I am not even thinking of non AC in this heat) between Agra (Idgah Stand) and Jaipur, early morning to midnight and beyond too.

Thanks a bunch for your time and efforts.
Jerry

Hello JP,

Here are two properties that i found according to the location stated by you. I would like you to go through the reviews and find out and make your choice accordingly:
Devikas Home stay ( Agarwal farms)
Laxmi Niwas Hotel ( New Sanganer Road)

Moreover i have found something which can help you. i,e the package offered by various .
http://www.holidayiq.com/Jaipur-Inn-Jai ... -1675.html
Please go through this link and see if it helps you anyway. Then again if you still have queries you can get back to me.

Coming to your query with regards to the buses between Agra- Jaipur routes. I second you that there are ample of buses running pretty frequently. Thus i am sure you will get n number of buses running between these two . may be they are not listed in the travel portals.

I would also suggest you to post a forum question in the Agra forum about the availability of buses and the information that you require. I am sure that some or the other HIQ member might be able to help you with your question. :)

And since you cherised your stay with Mahal Palace. We would like to know your experience with the hotel so that it could help other travellers too if they plan to stay in that property.

Have a great great trip and let us know your experience too. :)

if you still have question we would be more than happy to help.

Cheers,
Moderator. :)
